  • Publication number: 20130106417
Abstract: Disclosed are a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus and an RF pulse control method wherein an RF pulse sequence in a start-up sequence is set as a monotonically increasing flip angle with offset, in order to reduce ghosts, blurring, and other artifacts during measurement in a transient state. For example, the sum of two adjacent consecutive terms in a monotonically increasing sequence is set as the flip angle. Specifically, the number of RF pulses in the RF pulse sequence and the flip angle for the RF pulses in an SSFP sequence are set, and the monotonically increasing flip angle with offset is found, based on the set number of RF pulses in the RF pulse sequence and the flip angle for the RF pulses in the SSFP sequence, and used as the RF pulse sequence.

Abstract: Luminance life can be enhanced in a vacuum fluorescent display that is driven according to a dynamic drive scheme and that uses a phosphor having remarkable luminance saturation. A drive method for a vacuum fluorescent display, having causing a phosphor layer formed on an anode to display under low-energy electron excitation by the dynamic driving, wherein the phosphor included in the phosphor layer is a phosphor in which the luminance increases when a pulse width is reduced under conditions in which the Du is kept the same in the dynamic driving, and in which, after a voltage is applied to the anode and the luminance of the phosphor is saturated, the time at which the luminance value decreases to 10% of the saturation luminance value following stoppage of the voltage application is 200 ?sec or more; and wherein the pulse width and pulse repetition period in the dynamic driving are made variable in the direction of maintaining the initial luminance of the phosphor as driving time elapses.

  • Publication number: 20130026574
Abstract: In an inverted staggered type TFT (100), contact layers (150a and 150b) that electrically connect a channel layer (140) to source and drain electrodes (160a and 160b), respectively, include n+ amorphous silicon layers (151a and 151b), n+ microcrystalline silicon layers (152a and 152b), and n+ microcrystalline silicon layers (153a and 153b). The n+ microcrystalline silicon layers (152a and 152b) have a lower crystallization rate than the n+ microcrystalline silicon layers (153a and 153b) and are formed between the n+ amorphous silicon layers (151a and 151b) and the n+ microcrystalline silicon layers (153a and 153b). In this case, since the film thickness of incubation layers formed on surfaces of the n+ amorphous silicon layers (151a and 151b) decreases, the resistance value of the contact layers (150a and 150b) decreases. By this, the contact resistance of the TFT (100) decreases and the mobility can be increased.

  • Patent number: 8293212
Abstract: The present invention provides methods which use induction phenomenon of production of interleukin 18 (IL-18) from keratinocyte (KC), and their usages. The methods are preferably applicable for understanding of pathogenic mechanisms of atopic dermatitis (AD) and AD-like symptoms, and for development of therapeutic drugs for AD and AD-like symptoms. For example, by applying, on skin of mice or the like, protein A (SpA) derived from Staphylococcus aureus, or transplanting, on mice, a skin graft which has developed an inflammatory skin disease like AD, it is possible to reproduce elevation of IgE to high level in serum, which elevation is generated in an AD-like lesion. As a result, it is possible, for example, to screen for an inhibitor which inhibits induction of production of IL-18 from KC.
