  • Publication number: 20030142660
Abstract: Rerouting of packet exchanges by a mobile terminal is controlled so as to be optimized on a real time basis to prevent network resources from being wasted by redundant routing. In an initial state a route of data from a mobile communication terminal M to a CN 8, which is a communication partner, is a route R5. Then, an access router (AR) 72 acquires the number of hops of data received from the CN 8 by the mobile communication terminal M. As the mobile communication terminal M now performs a handover to under the command of the AR 73, the route will change to a route R9. Then the AR 73 detects that the route becomes redundant by the fact that the number of hops acquired after the shift is greater than the pre-shift number of hops received from the AR 72, and invokes control to reroute to a route R7, which provides the optimal routing.

  • Publication number: 20030094360
Abstract: A lever switch includes a case having a common contact and fixed contacts provided on inner wall opposite to each other. A movable contact made from elastic metal and shaped like the letter “M” has an intermediate section that comes into contact with the common contact. A first arm extends from each one of both ends of the intermediate section. Each one of the ends of the first arms forms a folding-back section, and a second arm is formed at the end of the folding-back section. A contact formed at the end of the second arm comes into contact with the inner wall of the case. Rotation of the lever slides a slider on the bottom plate of the case, and a pushing section provided at each one of both ends of the slider brings the contact into contact with the fixed contact or leaves the contact from the fixed contact.

  • Publication number: 20020085014
Abstract: In a rendering device Urend1, a processor 1 receives object data Dpol which defines a polygon by shape, and object data Dlin which defines a line by shape. The processor 1 also receives mesh data Dms which specifies a three-dimensional mesh representing a shape of a ground surface. Based on thus received object data Dpol and the mesh data Dms, the processor 1 generates intermediate data Dlm3 which represents the polygon mapped onto the three-dimensional mesh. Further, based on the received object data Dlin and the mesh data Dms, the processor 1 draws the shape of the line on the three-dimensional mesh so that display image data Ddisp which can display a three-dimensional image including the polygon and line drawn on the ground surface is generated. In this manner, realized is the rendering device Urend1 capable of generating the display image data having no deformation on lines when displayed.

Abstract: A polygon rendering device Urend carries out a polygon division process, in step S36, for generating, based on polygon data which specifies a polygon to be rendered, a plurality of partial polygon data each specifying one piece of partial polygons which are obtained by dividing the polygon. Then in step S37, a rendering process is performed based on the partial polygon data generated in step S36 so as to generate image data which represents an image of the polygon. Here, each of the partial polygons includes a plurality of triangles which respectively include a vertex of the polygon, and each of the triangles included in each of the partial polygons shares at least one edge with any one of the triangles included in the same partial polygon. In such a manner, the polygon rendering device Urend can render polygons at high speeds.

  • Publication number: 20010048377
Abstract: In a map display device, a surface storing unit stores surface information which defines a curved surface having a form that depends on positions of portions of a map which are to be enlarged and/or contracted. A mapping unit maps the map onto the curved surface defined by the surface information. A projecting/displaying unit projects the mapped map onto a flat virtual screen, and displays the projected image. Here, by defining the curved surface so that each part of the curved surface forms an intended angle with a line of sight in the projection, the image is displayed with desired portions enlarged and/or contracted, while maintaining connections of roads. The same effect can also be achieved by projecting the map onto a virtual screen having the form of the curved surface.

  • Patent number: 5467438
Abstract: Color compensation is performed in color images for use in an image processing field which is employed for three-dimensional computer graphics and the like by making a luminance value of texture data coincide with an intensity derived by an intensity calculation. Also, lightness compensation is performed for a color image according to a display scene. From measurements of color changes of plural colors in a uniform color space, a color change of arbitrary texture data under a chromatic color light source is represented and compensated. The generated image is very natural because compensation is achieved between a lightness of a texture itself representing a pattern on the surface of an object and an intensity of the surface of the object derived by an intensity calculation when an image is generated.
