  • Publication number: 20080141976
Abstract: If a throttle valve is moved toward the mechanical full close position at high speed, the throttle valve may overshoot and collide against the full close position. This may damage and deform the throttle valve. It is an object of the present invention to set a lower limiter to the throttle valve so as to secure a margin to prevent such collision while attaining lowered fuel consumption or improved fuel efficiency.

  • Patent number: 7374275
Abstract: An ink jet head circuit board is provided which has heaters to generate thermal energy for ink ejection as they are energized. This circuit board has the heaters formed with high precision to reduce their areas. It also has provisions to protect the electrode wires against corrosion and prevent a progress of corrosion. The substrate is deposited with the thin first electrodes made of a corrosion resistant metal. This is further deposited with the resistor layer. The second electrodes made of aluminum are deposited to overlap the first electrodes to form the heater without causing large dimensional variations among the heaters. With this construction, if a defect should occur in a protective layer on or near the heater, a progress of corrosion can effectively be prevented because the material of the resistor layer is more resistant to encroachment than aluminum and the first electrodes are corrosion resistant.

  • Patent number: 7375510
Abstract: A rotational position sensor having a compact and simple structure, in which a magnetic surface can be formed to have a more accurate shape, and an electronically controlled throttle device for an internal combustion engine, which employs the rotational position sensor. The rotational position sensor comprises a pair of substantially half disk-shaped magnetic cores disposed in an opposed relation to each other with a magnetic sensitive device interposed therebetween, a pair of substantially arc-shaped magnetic cores disposed in an opposed relation to each other along outer peripheries of the half disk-shaped magnetic cores, and a permanent magnet fixed in contact with at least one of the arc-shaped magnetic cores. Magnetic flux generating from the permanent magnet flows successively through one of the arc-shaped magnetic cores, the half disk-shaped magnetic cores, and the other of the arc-shaped magnetic cores, followed by returning to the permanent magnet.

  • Publication number: 20080075698
Abstract: The present inventors discovered that brain-localizing cells exist in the progenitor cell fraction of bone marrow cells. They also elucidated various characteristics of the brain-localizing cells. When these cells are infused into the bloodstream, they circulate in the blood and directly translocate into the cerebral parenchyma from the bloodstream. Furthermore, the present inventors succeeded in developing methods for efficiently preparing brain-localizing cells from bone marrow or bone marrow cells. These methods can be applied to less-invasive regenerative medicines targeting the brain and using autologous cells.

  • Publication number: 20070273507
Abstract: Visual and audio communication interface for a perishable integrity indicator system which includes a RFID transponder and perishable integrity sensor. A perishable integrity indicator system includes a RFID transponder and a perishable integrity sensor. The RFID transponder includes a RF integrated circuit coupled with an antenna. The sensor monitors the time and temperature of the perishable. A freshness determining module receives time- and temperature-dependent measurement data from the perishable integrity sensor and determines a current freshness status. A communications interface to the RFID transponder permits a RFID reader to retrieve current freshness status data corresponding to the freshness status determined by the freshness determining module. The system further includes a power management module.

  • Publication number: 20070243309
Abstract: To provide minced and heated fish meat material having a texture like meat of livestock, and foods utilizing the material. Fish meat, preferably fish meat wherein the decomposition of trimethylamine N-oxide is inhibited and the denaturation of protein is reduced, is chopped while keeping a frozen state, is heated until denaturation and coagulation of protein while keeping a frozen state and followed by seasoning. Alternatively, the seasoning is carried out simultaneously with the heating. According to the procedure, minced and heated fish meat material having a texture like meat of livestock, can be obtained. The material can be provided as it is, or can be provided as an ingredient of food produced from minced meat of livestock.

  • Patent number: 7243635
Abstract: The invention is intended to simplify a default mechanism of a throttle valve opening and closing device for the purpose of improving mountability of the device to a vehicle. When a motor generate no driving forces, a throttle valve is held in a position (1) by a return spring. In this position, gaps are formed between the throttle valve and a wall surface of an intake passage. Spherical recesses are formed in parts of the wall surface of the intake passage. In a position (2) where the throttle valve is opposed to the spherical recesses, the gaps are minimized in an operating range of the throttle valve.
