  • Publication number: 20040060541
Abstract: The invention is intended to simplify a default mechanism of a throttle valve opening and closing device for the purpose of improving mountability of the device to a vehicle. When a motor generate no driving forces, a throttle valve is held in a position (1) by a return spring. In this position, gaps are formed between the throttle valve and a wall surface of an intake passage. Spherical recesses are formed in parts of the wall surface of the intake passage. In a position (2) where the throttle valve is opposed to the spherical recesses, the gaps are minimized in an operating range of the throttle valve.

  • Publication number: 20030110847
Abstract: Provided herein is a non-contact type rotational position sensor which is allowed to achieve intensification of parts, miniaturization, simplification of assembly, and higher accuracy. A rotor (a permanent magnet) is mounted on a rotational shaft. A Hall IC is interposed between an upper stator and a lower stator which are magnetic plates. The Hall IC is sensitive to magnetic flux density which varies according to a rotational position of the rotor. In a housing incorporating the rotor and the Hall IC is provided integrally a connector provided with an external connection terminal. Conductors for connecting external connection terminals and input/output terminals of the Hall IC are embedded into the housing by insert-molding. One ends of conductors are exposed at a fixed position where the input/output terminals are present. The terminals of the Hall IC are guided by a guide and joined to the one ends of conductors.

  • Patent number: 6267099
Abstract: A control device for an internal combustion engine is configured to switch over at least one of fuel injection amount and ignition timing to an emergency traveling mode in the event that an electric actuator for driving a throttle valve malfunctions, at which time the throttle valve is set at a default position. At the time of the emergency traveling mode, throttle valve opening degree is set at a value larger than the opening degree when an accelerator pedal is not depressed during normal operation. Fuel amount is set to obtain necessary engine rpm for the emergency traveling mode and when the acceleration pedal is not depressed or the vehicle speed is zero, ignition timing is retarded with respect to ignition timing during normal idling operation.

  • Patent number: 6204964
Abstract: Illumination light emanated from a laser illumination light source is reflected by a semi-transparent mirror arranged between first and second objective lenses, and illuminates an object through the first objective lens. Reflected light from the object is incident to the photoelectric conversion device through the first objective lens, the semi-transparent mirror, and the second objective lens, and forms an image of the object. The image is captured by a image-taking plane of the photoelectric conversion device tilted relative to the image plane. The second objective lens is telecentric at the image side. The image-taking plane of the photoelectric conversion device is tilted relative to the image plane. Therefore, almost all diffracted light rays from on-axis and off-axis portion of the image-taking plane among all incident light to the image-taking plane are reflected not to enter the second objective lens.

  • Patent number: 5975051
Abstract: A motor-driven throttle valve control device has a throttle shaft and a coupling lever rotatably provided on the shaft, both being coupled by a spring. A default spring energizes the coupling lever toward a position of the default opening of the throttle valve. The throttle shaft rotates separately from the coupling lever in the direction of the full open throttle valve from a point at which the coupling lever comes into contact with a stopper defining the default position and, together with the coupling lever, in the full close direction of the throttle valve from the point. Thereby, the throttle valve can be kept at the default position by the default spring through the coupling lever when a motor driving the throttle valve is not powered.

  • Patent number: 5907841
Abstract: A document detection system capable of detecting a desired document from a large number of documents easily and accurately in which the user can make a judgement concerning the appropriateness of the detection result quickly. In the system, those documents which contain a semantic structure of a detection command containing natural language expressions entered by a user are detected. Also, the keywords of each document can be extracted from the summary of each document and those documents whose keywords match with detection keywords specified by a user can be detected. Also, the summary of each detected document can be automatically generated according to text structures of each detected document and displayed along with the detected document itself. Also, the detection processing can be carried out with respect to the summaries of the documents instead of the documents themselves.
