  • Publication number: 20110089628
Abstract: A sheet conveying device includes a blocking member having a blocking surface with which a leading end of a sheet that is being conveyed comes into contact for obliquity correction. The blocking member is rotated by being pushed by the sheet against an urging force of a positioning unit that positions the blocking member to be in the standby position. The blocking member is rotatable to be in a sheet-passage-allowing orientation in which the sheet is allowed to pass. When a trailing end of the sheet that is being conveyed has passed the blocking member, the blocking member that is in the sheet-passage-allowing orientation rotates in a same direction as a sheet conveyance direction and is positioned to be in a standby position.

  • Patent number: 7925944
Abstract: In a semiconductor device including an N-line M-stage shift register circuit operated at high speed of, for example, several hundreds MHz. Input circuits input a common test pattern to each of pairs of shift registers in, for example, two lines out of the N lines. A plurality of outputs of the pairs of shift registers in the two lines are compared in comparators, and the comparison results are output. The N-line M-stage shift register circuit and the comparators are operated in synchronization with a clock signal at several hundreds MHz. Hence, even when the circuit scale (area) of the N-line M-stage shift register circuit is increased to involve apparent wiring delay, a defect in the shift register circuit can be detected at an actual speed.

  • Patent number: 7888642
Abstract: The present invention provides an electron beam apparatus for irradiating a sample with primary electron beams to detect secondary electron beams generated from a surface of the sample by the irradiation for evaluating the sample surface. In the electron beam apparatus, an electron gun has a cathode for emitting primary electron beams. The cathode includes a plurality of emitters for emitting primary electron beams, arranged apart from one another on a circle centered at an optical axis of a primary electro-optical system. The plurality of emitters are arranged such that when the plurality of emitters are projected onto a straight line parallel with a direction in which the primary electron beams are scanned, resulting points on the straight line are spaced at equal intervals.

  • Patent number: 7873659
Abstract: A meta-information storing section records a plurality of pieces of taxonomy data in ranks. A plurality of pieces of leaf meta-data respectively correspond to pieces of the lowest taxonomy data. A database records a plurality of pieces of real data which respectively correspond to pieces of leaf meta-data. A server control section searches for upper taxonomy data corresponding to the keyword included in a search request and acquires lower taxonomy data associated with the upper taxonomy data. The server control section is capable of repeatedly acquiring further lower taxonomy data until the lowest taxonomy data is specified, and as a result, acquiring leaf meta-data. The server control section samples real data corresponding to all of the leaf meta-data from the database and outputs it.

  • Publication number: 20110006469
Abstract: When a retard roller is rotating in a sheet feeding direction, the rotation is transmitted to a pickup roller and the pickup roller rotates in a direction for conveying the sheet. When the retard roller is rotating in a direction opposite to the sheet feeding direction or is stationary, the pickup roller does not feed the sheet. Therefore, in a successive feeding operation, the sheet to be fed next is always conveyed such that the leading end thereof reaches a nip position between a feed roller and the retard roller. Therefore, the intervals between the sheets are uniform in the successive feeding operation.

  • Publication number: 20110000904
Abstract: An induction heat cooking device is provided that finishes preheating in a short time and maintains the temperature obtained at the finish of the preheating. When a preheating heating mode is selected as an operation mode, a control unit (8) arranged in the induction heat cooking device starts operation in a preheating mode in which a cooking container is heated with a first heating output. When an increment of an output value of an infrared sensor exceeds a first predetermined increment since the heating starts with the first heating output, the control unit causes a notification unit to notify a user that the preheating is finished, and the operation mode is changed to a waiting mode for performing heating with a second heating output that is lower than the first heating output. Further, when the user sets a heating power by means of a heating power setting unit in the preheating mode, the control unit prohibits changing to the heating power set by the user.

  • Patent number: 7863554
Abstract: While high-purity hexagonal boron nitride monocrystal (hBN) obtained by way of a high temperature/high-pressure treatment in the presence of a high-purity solvent has excellent properties in terms of far-UV luminescence characteristics, it has drawbacks including that it can be easily adversely affected by mechanical vibrations and impetus, that monocrystal shows a poor morphological retentiveness and that the luminescence characteristics fluctuate to shift the selected and set wavelength. The present invention can overcome the drawbacks of being easily affected by vibrations and showing a poor morphological retentiveness by grinding down the monocrystal obtained by a solvent/refining process into powder and applying the powder to a light emitting surface. Thus, the present invention provides crystal powder to be used for a far-UV luminescence device showing excellent luminescence characteristics that are stable and do not fluctuate.

  • Publication number: 20100323454
Abstract: A measurement cell (40a) is formed so as to extend in a direction along which a centrifugal force is applied, and a capillary area (47a) to which a sample liquid is sucked by a capillary force is formed on one of the side walls of the measurement cell (40a), the side walls being arranged in a rotational direction. The capillary area (47a) extends from the outer periphery position to the inner periphery of the measurement cell (40a), thereby reducing the size of an analyzing device. Further, the sample liquid in the measurement cell (40a) is sucked to the capillary area (47a) by slowing or stopping a rotation, and then the rotation is accelerated to return the sample liquid in the capillary area (47a) to the measurement cell (40a). It is therefore possible to achieve a sufficient agitating effect and conduct measurement with a small quantity of sample liquid.

  • Patent number: 7829853
Abstract: A surface of a sample is observed by acquiring an image of the surface of the sample. An electron beam I irradiated onto the surface of the sample in which wiring including an insulation material and an electrically conductive material is formed. Electrons that acquired structure information regarding a structure of the surface of the sample are detected. An image of the surface of the sample is acquired by a result of the detection of electrons. The surface of the sample is observed using the acquired image of the surface of the sample. The electron beam is irradiated onto the surface of the sample in a state where a brightness of the insulation material and a brightness of the electrically conductive material in the image of the surface of the sample are set equal to each other.
