  • Patent number: 4900804
Abstract: An aromatic polyester consisting of 40-70 mol % of unit I derived from p-hydroxybenzoic acid, 1-8 mol % of unit II derived from m-hydroxybenzoic acid or isophthalic acid, 6-36 mol % of units III and IV derived from terephthalic acid and 2,6-naphthalene dicarboxylic acid, respectively, and 10-40 mol % of unit V derived from a symmetrical dihydroxy compound can be melt molded at a temperature of up to 330.degree. C. into an article having improved mechanical and thermal properties. An aromatic polyesteramide consisting of components I to V and unit VI having an anilino group is also provided. A filled composition is obtained by blending the polyester or polyesteramide with an inorganic filler. A magnetic resin composition is obtained by blending the polyester or polyesteramide with a magnetic powder.

  • Patent number: 4839128
Abstract: Copolyesteramides consisting of specific units can be injection molded at a low temperature into a part having a high heat distortion temperature. A filled composition is obtained by blending the copolyesteramide with an inorganic filler. A magnetic resin composition is obtained by blending the copolyesteramide with an magnetic powder. The copolyesteramide consists essentially of units <I>, <II>, <III>, <IV>, and <V> of the following formulae: ##STR1## wherein each of R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 is independently at least one divalent radical selected from the group consisting of para-phenylene, 2,6-naphthalene, and 4,4'-biphenylene,R.sup.5 is a para- or meta-phenylene radical,X.sup.1 is --NH--,X.sup.

  • Patent number: 4525069
Abstract: An optical absorption analyzer for determining the concentration of low concentration components of a sample gas. Inexpensive voltage to frequency converters, up/down counters, and integrators are used to obtain a high accuracy determination which is independent of fluctuations in the strength of the light source used in the analyzer.

  • Patent number: 4345852
Abstract: A leveling device for an asphalt finisher or the like including a pair of screeds disposed at front and rear portions of the device on auxiliary frames which are slidably coupled to a main frame. The main frame is pivotably mounted to a pair of supporting arms extending from the vehicle body. The screeds are both movable laterally and tiltable sidewards so that a predetermined depth of asphalt coating can be attained and a crown portion provided if desired.
