  • Publication number: 20090094284
Abstract: An information processing device for executing playback processing of a disc recorded content, includes: a data processing unit configured to employ a playlist where content playback order information has been recorded to execute playback of a content; and a local storage unit storing a content; wherein the data processing unit plays a local storage unit stored content instead of a disc recorded content specified with the playlist by content obtaining processing employing mapping information for obtaining a local storage unit stored content as a playback content by employing a disc recorded content information recorded in the playlist. Thus, for example, processing can be performed such that a new commercial content provided by a server is played instead of an old commercial content recorded in a disc.

  • Publication number: 20090041237
Abstract: To provide a configuration in which a unit classification number corresponding to a content playback path is set based on various units. A unit classification number defining a playback path of content including encrypted data having different variations generated by encrypting a segment portion which forms the content by using a plurality of segment keys and encrypted content generated by encrypting a non-segment portion by a unit key is set based on various units, such as a content management unit and an index. In a CPS unit key file storing key generating information concerning CPS units as content management units, settings of unit classification numbers are indicated. Based on the CPS unit key file, a unit classification number to which content to be played back belongs can be obtained.

  • Patent number: 7356159
Abstract: Digital image data is divided, per frame, into “N” fields. “N/m” combinations of imperceptible codes are produced, each combination having “m” codes given by an inverse of a function giving an identification code with the “m” codes as variables. “N” and “m” are an integer of 2 or more and “m” is given by dividing “N” by an integer. The combinations are embedded into the data to embed the “m” codes of each combination into the data in “m” fields according to a rule of positional correspondence to give correlation among “m” fields in “N” fields. The data is divided into “N” fields and the codes are extracted therefrom and combined into the combinations according to the rule. An operation is conducted based on the function. It is determined that the data has not been tampered with only when the operation gives the identification code for each combination.

  • Publication number: 20080022131
Abstract: An information recording medium manufacturing method includes the steps of: determining an encryption mode of each sector, which serves as an encrypt processing unit; generating encrypted data having different variations by using a plurality of cryptographic keys for a segment portion; generating encrypted data by using a single cryptographic key for a non-segment portion; and recording the encrypted data. In determining the encryption mode, a cryptographic key for each sector is specified on the basis of an auxiliary file including determination information indicating whether each sector is data of a segment portion or data of a non-segment portion and identification information for identifying a segment and a variation associated with the sector if the sector is found to be the data of a segment portion. In generating the encrypted data for the segment portion or for the non-segment portion, the encrypted data is generated by using the specified cryptographic key.

  • Publication number: 20080016576
Abstract: A configuration for achieving efficient content verification processing based on hash values is provided. Hash values of hash units set as segmented data of a content stored on an information storage medium are recorded in a content hash table and are stored on the information storage medium together with the content. An information processing apparatus for executing content playback executes hash-value comparison processing based on one or more randomly selected hash values. Regardless of the data amount of content, the configuration can perform hash-value determination and comparison processing based on hash units having a small amount of data, so that user equipment for executing content playback can perform efficient content verification.

  • Patent number: 7293180
Abstract: Digital video data is encryptically processed and then subjected to an encoding procedure with orthogonal transform to produce a coded video signal. A representative value of luminance of pixels of the digital video data is obtained for each of pixel blocks having a predetermined number of pixels, each pixel block corresponding to a unit of data subjected to the encoding procedure, as a quantized integer for each pixel block by using a specific function with the stored luminance data as a parameter. It is determined whether the quantized integer of the representative value for each pixel block is a multiple of a preset integer N of two or larger, and, if not, the stored luminance data are rewritten with a specific requirement giving the least range of change in gradation so that the quantized integer becomes a multiple of the integer N, whereas the stored luminance data remain unchanged if the quantized integer is a multiple of the integer N, thus the digital video data being encryptically processed.

  • Publication number: 20070247985
Abstract: In a process for manufacturing an information recording medium, a configuration is provided in which strict information management and an information recording medium manufacturing process are realized. In a configuration in which master data as original data of recording data for an information recording medium is generated and recording data for the information recording medium is generated on the basis of the master data, master data containing a dummy data area in a partial area of the master data is generated, and the dummy data area is identified and a process for setting significant information is performed on the basis of the stored information of an auxiliary file. Therefore, it is not necessary to obtain data of significant information when the master data is to be generated, and it becomes possible to generate the master data without obtaining specific information, such as an encrypted key block.

  • Publication number: 20070223691
Abstract: A configuration in which use management for each piece of content, which is divided in units, can be performed strictly and efficiently is provided. CPS units such that content stored on an information recording medium is divided into units are set, a unit key is assigned to each CPS unit, and data forming each unit is encrypted and recorded. For reproduction, a unit key is generated, and data processing using the unit key is performed. As information for generating the unit key, copy/play control information (CCI) that is set so as to correspond to the CPS unit and a content hash that is a hash value based on data forming the CPS unit are used. With this configuration, tampering of CCI and data forming the CPS unit can be prevented, and authorized content use can be realized.
