  • Publication number: 20140160797
Abstract: An LED night-light includes a housing and a toggle switch mounted on the housing. First and second prongs are supported by the housing. An LED driver circuit is electrically connected to a light-emitting diode. Movement of the toggle switch to a first position presses a second conductor against the second prong and thereby switchably connects the second conductor to the second prong. Movement of the toggle switch to a second position allows the second conductor to move out of contact with the second prong and thereby switchably provides an open circuit between the second conductor and the second prong. Electricity is supplied to the light-emitting diode and to the LED driver circuit when the toggle switch is in the first position. No electricity is supplied to the light-emitting diode and LED driver circuit when the toggle switch is in the second position.

  • Patent number: 8662733
Abstract: An LED night-light generally includes a standard night-light assembly for an incandescent light bulb retrofit with an LED. A housing has an interior surface defining a cylindrical opening. The interior surface has threads adapted to mate with a threaded end of the incandescent light bulb. First and second prongs extend out of the housing and are configured for insertion into an electrical outlet. A groove is in the interior surface of the housing. A disk is received in the groove and mounts the LED to the housing so that the standard night-light assembly is retrofit as an LED night-light.

  • Patent number: 8655920
Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for creating a report on the basis of a plurality of remote datasets includes an intelligence server, one or more tree servers and one or more databases. Each tree server creates one or more segments, or slices, of a report, using information that resides on the tree server. Slices are aggregated into a tree structure, and the tree structure is converted into a report. The intelligence server receives updates from the tree servers. The tree servers and the intelligence server remain in communication for the purposes of passing update messages. The update messages are received and processed at the intelligence-server in a manner that facilitates synchronization with the contributing tree servers and provides live updates to the user.

  • Patent number: 8239417
Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for creating a report on the basis of a plurality of remote datasets. The system for achieving this includes an intelligence server, connected to one or more tree servers. The tree servers are in turn connected to one or more databases. A user specifies a report to be created by the system. A client, acting on behalf of the user, creates a report definition that is sent to the intelligence server and the tree servers. Each tree server creates one or more segments, or slices, of the report, using the information that resides on the tree server. These slices are then sent to the intelligence server, which aggregates the slices into a tree structure. The tree structure is then converted into a report for presentation to the client. Moreover, the intelligence server receives updates from the tree servers as necessary. To do so, the tree servers and the intelligence server remain in communication for the purposes of passing update messages.

  • Patent number: 8215820
Abstract: An LED night-light includes a housing with a threaded, cylindrical opening having an interior surface adapted to receive a threaded end of a light bulb. First and second prongs are supported in parallel by the housing. The prongs have interior ends extending into an interior of the housing and exterior ends extending out of the housing such that the exterior ends are configured to engage an electrical outlet. A disk is received in and supported by a groove in the interior surface. A light-emitting diode (LED) is mounted on the disk. The night-light further includes a circuit board including an LED driver circuit electrically connected to the LED. The driver circuit energizes the LED when the first and second prongs are plugged into an electrical outlet connected to a power source.

  • Patent number: 7777888
Abstract: A system and method for testing telescope optics are disclosed. The telescope optics can be testing in-situ, thus more accurately revealing the as-used optical conditions. The optical conditions are input to a test system which, by objective analysis, reveals a condition of the optics and an indication of the need for corrective action. A test bench for testing optics and for validating the test system using modeled telescope optics is also disclosed.
