  • Publication number: 20230398307
Abstract: A dose delivery mechanism includes a housing, a piston rod that acts on a plunger sealing a fluid compartment and moves in an axial direction relative to the housing to deliver a set dose, and a dose setting member that is movable relative to the housing during dose setting. A position of the dose setting member relative to the housing defines the set dose, and in an as-delivered condition the dose setting member is preset to a position that corresponds to a set dose higher than zero.

  • Publication number: 20230398309
Abstract: A dose delivery mechanism includes a piston rod and a nut. The piston rod forms an outer thread meshing with an inner thread of the nut, and during dose setting, the nut is rotated relative to the piston rod to advance the nut with respect to the piston rod by a first distance into a distal direction, an actuation member that is movable by a user to effect delivery of a set dose, and a housing. A second threaded connection is configured to cause the actuation member to travel a second distance into the distal direction during dose setting. The actuation member is coupled via the nut to the piston rod during dose delivery to advance the piston rod by the first distance into a proximal direction upon proximal movement of the actuation member by the second distance, and the second distance is less than 1.5 times the first distance.

  • Publication number: 20230376585
Abstract: Aspects and examples are disclosed for improving multi-factor authentication techniques to control access to secured electronic resources. In one example, a decisioning computer system evaluates, based on a passive-dimension decision process, an access request, received from a user device, for a secured electronic resource. The passive-dimension decision process can evaluate dimensions associated with the access request, such as identity or device characteristics, to determine whether the dimensions of the access request are outside of norms for the user. Based on the passive-dimension decision model, the decisioning computing device may communicate to the user device an access decision, the access decision describing one or more of an access authorization, a denial of access, or a supplemental authentication challenge.

The first and second laminate structures each include a flexible polymeric sheet and a heat activated adhesive layer carried by the flexible polymeric sheet. Other splice arrangements include a protective barrier disposed about an optical splice. The protective barrier includes first and second protective layers bonded around the optical splice. Each protective layer include a film carrying an adhesive. The protective barrier may be sufficiently flexible to not restrict flexing the optical fibers at the splice location. Example splice arrangements have thicknesses of less than or equal to 1000 microns, or 900 microns, or 800 microns, or 700 microns, or 600 microns or 500 microns.
