Abstract: A main fanout includes a plurality of intermediate fanout devices that are connected to one another. Each intermediate fanout device can be assembled separately and then connected together to form the main fanout. Each intermediate fanout device is connected to an intermediate cable of a main cable and a plurality of optical fibers of each intermediate cable is positioned within at least one furcation tube. The plurality of optical fibers and at least one furcation tube are secured to a main body of each intermediate fanout device. Each intermediate fanout device includes a mating feature to connect to adjacent intermediate fanout devices with a like mating feature. • Patent number: 11246344
Abstract: The present invention provides a conductive substrate useful for Joule heating, such as in an electronic smoking article. Particularly, the invention provides a resistive heating element formed of a conductive substrate. The conductive substrate comprises an electrically conductive material and a carbonaceous additive, such as a binder material. The conductive substrate is carbonized in that it is subjected to calcining conditions to effectively reduce the carbonaceous additive to its carbon skeleton. It has been found that such carbonized substrate has surprisingly improved resistance properties in relation a substrate of the same formulation that is not carbonized. The carbonized substrate can include an aerosol precursor material. The formed resistive heating element can be included in an electronic smoking article to simultaneously provide resistive heating and aerosol formation with a single, unitary component.

  • Publication number: 20220004546
Abstract: An entity tracking system and method for a computer network employs proactive data collection and enrichment driven by configurable rules and workflows responsive to the discovery of new entities, changes to existing entities, and specifics about the entities' attributes. The data collection is used in conjunction with graph technologies to map interactions and relationships between various entities interacting in the computer environment and deduce interactions and relationships between the entities. Machine learning techniques further identify, group or categorize entities and identify patterns which are indicative of anomalies that might be due to nefarious actions or compromised security.

The first and second laminate structures each include a flexible polymeric sheet and a heat activated adhesive layer carried by the flexible polymeric sheet. Other splice arrangements include a protective barrier disposed about an optical splice. The protective barrier includes first and second protective layers bonded around the optical splice. Each protective layer include a film carrying an adhesive. The protective barrier may be sufficiently flexible to not restrict flexing the optical fibers at the splice location. Example splice arrangements have thicknesses of less than or equal to 1000 microns, or 900 microns, or 800 microns, or 700 microns, or 600 microns or 500 microns.

  • Publication number: 20210294256
Abstract: Example implementations relate to a system comprising a memory resource to store instructions executable by a processing resource. In some examples, the processing resource can execute instructions to perform a calibration procedure for a printing device including a printing component. Responsive to the calibration procedure, the processing resource can execute instructions to deliver a print material arranged in a compound shape to a calibration image on the printing component included in the printing device. Responsive to performing the delivery, the processing resource can execute instructions to measure a print material density of the print material on the calibration image of the compound shape during the calibration procedure via a density sensor included in the printing device. Furthermore, the processing resource can execute instructions to detect an abnormality in the print material density via signal analysis instructions and provide a notification regarding the print material density abnormality.
