Publication number: 20240335392Abstract: In one aspect, the disclosure relates to nanoclusters comprising cores comprising self-assembled unimolecular nanoparticles and biomimetic membrane coatings surrounding the cores, methods of making the same, and methods of treating and preventing restenosis using same. In some embodiments, the nanoclusters can contain an anti-restenotic drug. In one embodiment, the polymers and/or copolymers of the unimolecular nanoparticles can contain a hydrophobic group such as, for example, a phenylboronic ester. In a further embodiment, the biomimetic membrane can localize the nanoclusters at sites of vascular damage, at which time reactive oxygen species (ROS) at the sites of vascular damage cleave the hydrophobic groups from the polymers and/or copolymers, increasing hydrophilicity of the polymers and/or copolymers and allowing for greater tissue penetration of the de-clustered nanoclusters and nanoparticles.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 21, 2022Publication date: October 10, 2024Inventors: Kenneth Craig Kent, Liang-Wang Guo, Bowen Wang, Takuro Shirasu, Shaoqin Gong, Yi Zhao

Patent number: 11741810Abstract: A server associated with a building automation emergency response system, receives indications of a detected emergency from sensors distributed among zones in the building, comprising a sensor reading level and a sensor identity. The server determines a zone danger level, based on the sensor identity and on the sensor reading levels. The server calculates an evacuation route commencing from user interfaces distributed among the zones. The user interfaces include a display device. The evacuation route is calculated to traverse the zones with a lower route danger level. The evacuation route is directed toward a safe exit, based on a floor plan. The server then transmits a depiction of the evacuation route to the user interfaces for display. The server continues receiving updated indications from the sensors, determines updated route danger levels, calculates an updated evacuation route, and transmits an updated depiction of the evacuation route to the user interfaces for display.Type: GrantFiled: December 17, 2020Date of Patent: August 29, 2023Assignee: Schneider Electric Buildings Americas, Inc.Inventor: Kenneth Craig Nemeth

Publication number: 20210191349Abstract: A server associated with a building automation system of a building, determines an occurrence of an emergency in the building, based on detection of the emergency by sensors distributed in the building. The server transmits to a remote emergency service, an alert of the detected emergency. In response, the server receives from the remote emergency service, an authorized login to temporarily transfer to the remote emergency service, control of the building automation system to respond to the detected emergency. In response to the authorized login, the server transfers the control to the remote emergency service, and causes the remote emergency service to transmit a command to devices in the building automation system. When the command is received by the devices, it modifies or alters operation of the devices. After the detected emergency has been resolved, the server disables the temporary transfer of control by the remote emergency service.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 17, 2020Publication date: June 24, 2021Applicant: SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC BUILDINGS, LLCInventor: Kenneth Craig Nemeth
