  • Publication number: 20110058907
Abstract: A milling cutter includes a shank and upper portion with an insert pocket. The insert pocket includes a bottom surface, a radial support wall and an axial support wall. A cutting insert includes a hole extending from a bottom surface. A tapered pin includes a lower portion and a tapered upper portion. A spring engages the lower portion of the tapered pin and provides an upward biasing force on the tapered pin. A center axis of the tapered pin is closer to the radial support wall than a center axis of the hole of the cutting insert such that the tapered pin exerts pressure against the hole of the cutting insert to cause one of the side walls of the cutting insert to be forced against the radial support wall of the insert pocket when the cutting insert is mounted in the insert pocket.

  • Publication number: 20100273616
Abstract: A “Complete Body Fitness Machine” that provides for a muscle building workout as well as a cardiovascular workout for the total body consists generally of an adjustable seat and two arms on either side, which are adjustable in height and have an infinitely and independently variable resistance possible in either clockwise or counterclockwise rotation. The arms are designed to have several types of mechanisms attached, so as to be able to work with a variety of body parts including, but not limited to, hands, arms, legs, feet, torso, neck and shoulders. When the proper attachment is used, the resistance for each direction of rotation of the arm is set, and the exercise is conducted. Depending on the workout desired, the seat and arms could be adjusted to different positions as well as the seat can be free-moving.

  • Publication number: 20100256539
Abstract: A system and a method is disclosed for monitoring parameters during cardiopulmonary resuscitation, including a compression measuring means, a ventilation measuring means and a processing means. If at least one of the measured values deviate from a respective reference range, the processing means provides an indication of the deviation. If more than one of the measured values deviate from a respective reference range, the deviations are prioritized with an indication being provided first to the deviation having a higher priority. The invention also regards a device for positioning on a patient's chest during cardiopulmonary resuscitation, which measures compression and which comprises a feedback module for providing a tactile output related to the measurements.

  • Patent number: 7578336
Abstract: A casting mold and method for its use to achieve in-mold modification of the casting metal is disclosed. One or more chambers are located within the casting mold's runner system. Each chamber can contain metallurgical modifiers for adjusting the chemical composition of the metal to improve the mechanical and physical properties of an article cast from the metal. One or more modifiers can be placed in the chamber(s) as the casting mold is assembled for use. As the melt is introduced to the casting mold, it passes through the chamber(s) and liquefies the modifier. Amounts of the liquid modifier, then, are carried away and become dispersed in the melt as it continues through the runner system and into the mold cavity. The metallurgical modifiers can be selected from any number of known additives or alloying elements, including strontium, among others.
