  • Patent number: 12269314
Abstract: A system for detecting and mitigating window condensation for a vehicle includes an interior camera and a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system. The system also includes a controller in electrical communication with the interior camera and the HVAC system. The controller is programmed to determine an opacity of a first window of the vehicle using the interior camera, compare the opacity of the first window to an opacity threshold, and adjust the HVAC system to decrease the opacity of the first window of the vehicle in response to determining that the opacity of the first window is greater than or equal to the opacity threshold.

  • Patent number: 12251896
Abstract: Composite laminates fabricated from one or more respective laminae of composite material (e.g., fiber-reinforced polymers) may be pre-formed and fully cured, yet configured to be selectively conformable to a desired radius of curvature. To repair a damaged composite structure, a plurality of such composite laminates may be bonded together to form a repair part that may be bolted to or otherwise secured to the damaged composite structure, thereby repairing the structure using repair parts that may match the parent material of the damaged composite structure. Methods of forming said repair parts from a plurality of such composite laminates may provide advantages in costs and lead time, over conventional techniques. Kits may include a plurality of such pre-formed and cured composite laminates that may be stacked and combined together in a plurality of different arrangements to create a customizable repair part for a given damaged composite structure.

  • Publication number: 20250074419
Abstract: A trailer backing assistance (TBA) application in a vehicle includes a vehicle attached to a trailer by a movable hitch. The TBA utilizes an HMI, sensors on the vehicle, a GPS system, and a remote computing system (RCS). A controller having a processor, memory, and input/output (I/O) communicates with the sensors, HMI, RCS and GPS via a V2I communications network. The memory stores the TBA which is executed by the processor. The TBA determines conditions have been satisfied, obtains and processes optical data from sensors and RCS, presents a vehicle environment view, prompts a vehicle operator for first and second inputs, calculates a current location of the vehicle, generates a planned path to a target location, presents an animation of the vehicle traversing the path, and continuously displays a live view of the trailer and hitch while actively adjusting on-screen instructions to guide the vehicle and trailer along the path.

  • Publication number: 20240407321
Abstract: A tiered detachable sieving litter box, platform, and removable clean sifted litter container are utilized to more efficiently separate waste than conventional litter boxes. The sieving litter box is elevated above the clean sifted litter container on the platform and rotates upon a pivot point on the platform when lifted by hand from the opposing side. The litter then pours through slots built into the side of the litter box sifting the waste and allowing clean litter to flow into the clean sifted container staged below the platform. Waste remaining in the empty litter box can be disposed of by detaching the litter box from the platform. Once the litter box is returned to the top of the platform empty, sifted clean litter from the clean sifter litter container can be poured back into the litter box by picking up the clean sifted litter container and pouring it into the litter box. The clean sifted litter container is then placed back under the platform to reuse.
