  • Publication number: 20240141776
Abstract: Systems and methods for using stratigraphic heat maps to steer a well being drilled. Data from one or more offset wells can be provided to a computer system and used with data from a well being drilled to generate one or more stratigraphic heat maps during the drilling of the subject well. The stratigraphic heat maps can be displayed and used to determine the location of the wellbore relative to one or more geological formations, including one or more target formations or within a target formation. Based on the use of the heat maps and the location of the wellbore relative to a target, the drill plan can be adjusted or updated and/or one or more drilling parameters or operations may be adjusted to drill the wellbore, such as to drill the wellbore to the target or to maximize the length of the wellbore within a target zone.

  • Patent number: 11941379
Abstract: A system performs static program analysis with artifact reuse. The system identifies artifacts associated with the software program being analyzed. The system processes the identified artifacts for performing static program analysis and transmits either the artifacts or identifiers for the artifacts to a second processing device for performing program analysis. The second processing device receives the artifacts and uses the received identifiers to retrieve the artifacts from a networked storage system. The second device also retrieves stored summaries of previous program analysis from the networked storage system. The program analysis uses the retrieved artifacts to generate work units for static program analysis. The analysis is performed only for those work units that are determined to remain unchanged from previous static program analysis cycles.

  • Publication number: 20240081658
Abstract: The invention provides a neck-worn sensor (referred to herein as the ‘necklace’) that is a single, body-worn system that measures the following parameters from an ambulatory patient: heart rate, pulse rate, pulse oximetry, respiratory rate, temperature, thoracic fluid levels, stroke volume, cardiac output, and a parameter sensitive to blood pressure called pulse transit time. From stroke volume, a first algorithm employing a linear model can estimate the patient's pulse pressure. And from pulse pressure and pulse transit time, a second algorithm, also employing a linear algorithm, can estimate systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure. Thus, the necklace can measure all five vital signs along with hemodynamic parameters. It also includes a motion-detecting accelerometer, from which it can determine motion-related parameters such as posture, degree of motion, activity level, respiratory-induced heaving of the chest, and falls.

  • Publication number: 20240074685
Abstract: The present disclosure discloses systems and methods for measuring the bladder volume of a patient. An ultrasound transducer array may be used to transmit electrical pulses and receive the backscattered pulses that can be analyzed to develop a representation of the patients bladder. The backscattered ultrasound signals may be amplified, converted, and processed by circuitry and computer software to develop an axial position of the anterior and posterior bladder walls. Bladder volume measurements derived from the patients bladder may then be wirelessly transmitted to a display device for assessment by a healthcare provider. The ultrasound transducer array portion of the device may be held in place between the patients peritoneum and pubis by an elastic strap or a belt to ensure proper positioning.

  • Patent number: 11918792
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a dose detection system for use with a medication delivery device in which a dose setting member rotates relative to an actuator during dose delivery. The dose detection system includes a module which is removably attached to the medication delivery device. The module includes a rotation sensor attached to the actuator during dose delivery. A sensed element is attached to the dose setting member and includes surface features detectable by the rotation sensor. The rotation sensor comprises a following member including a contact portion resting against and spring-biased in the direction of the surface features. The contact surface is positioned to move over the surface features during rotation of the sensed element, and the rotation sensor is responsive to the movement of the contact portion over the surface features to detect the rotation of the dose setting member.

  • Publication number: 20230392497
Abstract: Systems and methods for automated filtering and normalization of logging data for improved drilling performance may enable smoothing and amplitude scaling of log data for meaningful comparison and analysis without scaling artefacts. The logging data may be collected from downhole sensors or may be recorded by a control system used for drilling. A computer implemented method may enable industrial scale automated filtering and normalization of logging data, including calibration to a known standard. In particular, the filtering and normalization may be used for stratigraphic analysis to correlate true vertical depth to measured depth along a wellbore.

  • Publication number: 20230380713
Abstract: The invention provides a sensor for measuring both impedance and ECG waveforms that is configured to be worn around a patient's neck. The sensor features 1) an ECG system that includes an analog ECG circuit, in electrical contact with at least two ECG electrodes, that generates an analog ECG waveform; and 2) an impedance system that includes an analog impedance circuit, in electrical contact with at least two (and typically four) impedance electrodes, that generates an analog impedance waveform. Also included in the neck-worn system are a digital processing system featuring a microprocessor, and an analog-to-digital converter. During a measurement, the digital processing system receives and processes the analog ECG and impedance waveforms to measure physiological information from the patient. Finally, a cable that drapes around the patient's neck connects the ECG system, impedance system, and digital processing system.
