  • Publication number: 20200354956
Abstract: This invention is an additively manufactured wall panel using computer aided design (CAD) and computer aided manufacturing (CAM) to design and manufacture multi-colored and multi-layered wall panels. This results in a variety of highly attractive, multi-colored wall panel faces ranging from brick, colored grout lines and multi-colored stones to multi-colored geometric designs. The design and manufacturing process greatly reduces the amount of precast cementitious materials by efficiently using higher quality materials. This reduces cost and weight while simultaneously producing a much more comprehensive, multi-functional wall panel complete with an interior frame, exterior insulation and an air, vapor and moisture barriers.

  • Publication number: 20200300064
Abstract: Systems and methods for using stratigraphic heat maps to steer a well being drilled. Data from one or more offset wells can be provided to a computer system and used with data from a well being drilled to generate one or more stratigraphic heat maps during the drilling of the subject well. The stratigraphic heat maps can be displayed and used to determine the location of the wellbore relative to one or more geological formations, including one or more target formations or within a target formation. Based on the use of the heat maps and the location of the wellbore relative to a target, the drill plan can be adjusted or updated and/or one or more drilling parameters or operations may be adjusted to drill the wellbore, such as to drill the wellbore to the target or to maximize the length of the wellbore within a target zone.

  • Patent number: 10781633
Abstract: A retrofitable retractable screen system for use with windows or doors. Instead of using a spring based tensioning arrangements to rewind the screen onto the roller assembly, the arrangement uses a pulley located on the spindle, around which is wrapped a cord. A guide assembly guides the cord around a tension adjustment arrangement that adjusts the tension in the cord as the screen is wound and unwound from the spindle to provide a smooth mechanism to extend and retract the screen. When the screen is extended, pushing the edge of the screen to force retraction of the screen is translated into a pulling action on the cord to unwind the cord off a pulley, which drives rotation of the spindle to wind the screen back on. Conversely, pulling the distal edge to extend the screen rotates the spindle and pulley to wind the cord back onto the pulley.

  • Patent number: 10729375
Abstract: The invention provides a sensor for measuring both impedance and ECG waveforms that is configured to be worn around a patient's neck. The sensor features 1) an ECG system that includes an analog ECG circuit, in electrical contact with at least two ECG electrodes, that generates an analog ECG waveform; and 2) an impedance system that includes an analog impedance circuit, in electrical contact with at least two (and typically four) impedance electrodes, that generates an analog impedance waveform. Also included in the neck-worn system are a digital processing system featuring a microprocessor, and an analog-to-digital converter. During a measurement, the digital processing system receives and processes the analog ECG and impedance waveforms to measure physiological information from the patient. Finally, a cable that drapes around the patient's neck connects the ECG system, impedance system, and digital processing system.

  • Patent number: 10726188
Abstract: Disclosed are methods and systems for characterizing and analyzing an electronic system design including a parallel interface. Some methods and systems identify an electronic design including a parallel interface, determine a single circuit representation including the parallel interface from the electronic design, and analyze the parallel interface to determine waveform responses of the parallel interface by using channel analysis techniques without performing circuit simulations.

  • Publication number: 20200231488
Abstract: An apparatus and related process for producing a high-strength weld between two glass components. Chucks clamp and move respective first ends of the glass components toward each other inside an enclosure, where the second ends are heated, softened, and welded together in a weld zone. The enclosure has layers of stacked quartz glass bricks and allows the weld zone to cool slowly and avoid stress. A propane quartz melting torch directs a flame inside the enclosure and toward the second ends as the glass components move toward each other. The flame softens the second ends and creates substantially smooth polished surfaces in the weld zone having an increased hydroxide content. At least 80% of the weld zone has a hydroxide content greater than about 10 ppm average in a 10 ?m depth from the surface and the tensile strength of the weld zone is above about 10 MPa.

  • Publication number: 20200222920
Abstract: A fire protection sprinkler including a frame body having an inlet, an outlet, defining an internal passageway extending between the inlet and the outlet along a sprinkler axis. A dome shaped deflector member is centered, axially aligned with the sprinkler axis, and spaced from the outlet. The deflector member has an outer surface and an inner surface that preferably includes: a peripheral region, a central region and an intermediate region. The intermediate region includes a primary deflecting surface, and a secondary deflecting surface that is surrounded by the primary deflecting surface. The deflector member provides for generation of a non-circular spray pattern defined by four zones of fluid density concentrically formed about the sprinkler axis.

  • Publication number: 20200210404
Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for the collection and aggregation of data from contributing members of a community, such as health-related, personal, genomic, medical, and other data of interest for individuals and populations. Contributors become members of a community upon creation of an account and providing of data or files. The data is received and processed, such as to analyze, structure, perform quality control, and curate the data. Value or shares in one or more community databases are computed and attributed to each contributing member. The data is controlled to avoid identification or personalization. Steps are taken to determine incompleteness and incorrectness of the data, and the data may be improved or completed automatically, based upon interaction with members, additional contributions of data, and so forth.

  • Patent number: 10654315
Abstract: The present invention relates to an adjustable height table base with a transport mechanism, and in particular to a transport mechanism selectably operable in a grounded position, a low transport position and a high transport position. The table has a base that is adjustable in length with a crank. A top is supported by a table frame, which allows the top to be locked in a horizontal or vertical position. Four legs can be provided each having a pad at a distal end. A transport mechanism is also provided. The transport mechanism has a caster assembly with four casters and has an extension assembly that is extendable along its longitudinal axis to move that table between the grounded position, low transport position and high transport position. The extension assembly is operable under force of gravity and used by lifting or tilting anywhere radially about the table at selected distances.

  • Patent number: 10575063
Abstract: Original transmitters of television broadcast content, such as national broadcasters, may tunnel various data such as SCTE-35 messages through a special closed captioning service before handoff to their local affiliates. The tunneled SCTE-35 messages may thus survive the re-encoding of both the local broadcaster to an over-the-air (OTA) retransmission, and re-encoding by any subsequent cable or satellite television providers as well. An uplink center and television service provider (e.g., a cable or satellite system) may receive the transport stream from the local broadcaster, may strip out the tunneled SCTE-35 messages from extra closed captioning streams at the uplink, re-create the SCTE-35, and then process it at the uplink of the satellite system, for example, by performing ad insertion, re-muxing the SCTE-35 for the satellite broadcast, and/or modifying it and sending it over the satellite broadcast on a separate PID to the set top boxes for those STBs for ad insertion.
