  • Patent number: 10678905
Abstract: Improved handling of couplable device recognition tasks in an electronic device such as a cell phone, smart phone, computer system, recording device or others is facilitated. Recognition of a couplable device such as a battery so as to enable exchange of power between the device and the battery or other couplable device functionality is determined by a match between one of a plurality of digital strings stored in the device and the decrypted response to an encrypted challenge derived from the one of stored strings. Control is exercised over the distribution of the encryption elements which enable the improved handling of the tasks.

  • Publication number: 20200134710
Abstract: A contractor bidding system gets initial bids with line items. The line items are combined to create a bid package template using line items from each of a plurality of initial bids from different bidders. Each trade can have a number of different items that can be included in the bid. Using the example of painting, for example, there can be supplies, stripping, masks, and the like. Other items might be included in the bid or excluded from the bid or alternates to the bid. The bid template can select which items are included in the bid or excluded from the bid so that when the final bids come they all include or exclude the same items.

  • Patent number: 10496557
Abstract: A transport directive system and associated processes are disclosed for facilitating transport of data between a plurality of disparate network entities. In particular embodiments, each network entity maintains its own data for its respective processes, and the data of each process may be represented in a format preferable to the respective network entity. Collaborating network entities may instantiate instances of applications for executing processes. Network entities with processes including one or more of the same applications may translate data from a first process application at a first network entity to a second process application at a second network entity. The translated data may be transformed from the format preferable at the first process application to the format preferable at the second process application, and furthermore inserted into the second process application. The second process application may reciprocate this data translation in response to events in its respective process.

  • Publication number: 20190296791
Abstract: An electronic communication device comprises echo cancellation circuitry and signal modification circuitry. The echo cancellation circuitry may be operable to generate a first signal that approximates interference present in a second signal. The signal modification circuitry may be operable to generate a first cancellation signal in a frequency band that is not used on a communication medium over which the electronic communication device is configured to communicate. The signal modification circuitry may be operable to combine the first cancellation signal with the first signal, wherein the combining of the signals results in a modified first signal that has a lower crest factor and/or peak-to-average power ratio than the first signal. The signal modification circuitry may be operable to combine the modified first signal with the second signal to reduce interference present in the second signal.

  • Publication number: 20190281794
Abstract: The disclosed technology includes a pet collar that can be configured to determine its geolocational position and evaluate that position with respect to the geo-fence of a predetermined, geo-fenced “safe” zone. If the collar determines that its position is inside a safe zone but is near the geo-fence, the collar may be configured to provide a warning correction. If the collar determines that it is outside a predetermined safe zone, the collar can also be configured to provide a stronger correction to discourage the pet from continuing away from the safe zone. The collar may also be configured to guide the pet back to the safe zone such as by varying the strength and/or type of correction provided based at least in part on the distance of the collar from the geo-fence.
