  • Publication number: 20200216645
Abstract: This disclosure relates to ethylene interpolymer product having intermediate branching. Intermediate branching was defined as branching that was longer than the branch length due to comonomer and shorter than the entanglement molecular weight (Me). Intermediately branched ethylene interpolymer products were produced in a continuous solution polymerization process employing an intermediate branching catalyst formulation. Intermediately branched ethylene interpolymer products were characterized by a Non-Comonomer Index Distribution (NCIDi), a melt index from 0.3 to 500 dg/minute, a density from 0.858 to 0.965 g/cm3, a polydispersity (Mw/Mn) from about 2 to about 25 and a CDBI50 from about 10% to about 98%. A method based on triple detection cross fractionation chromatography (3D-CFC) was disclosed to measure NCIDi.

  • Publication number: 20200210650
Abstract: A system is configured to perform one or more steps of a method. The system may receive a plurality of attorney communications, identify one or more legal clause interpretations in them, receive a first legal clause and provide it to a trained NN and a probability model. The system may also generate a corresponding first plain English interpretation based on the first legal clause, provide the first plain English interpretation to the probability model, which generates a probability score based on a degree to which the legal clause matches the plain English interpretation in meaning, and determine whether the probability score exceeds a predetermined threshold. Further, the system may instruct the NN to generate a second plain English interpretation based on the first legal clause when the probability score does not exceed the predetermined threshold, and output the first plain English interpretation when the probability score exceeds the predetermined threshold.

  • Publication number: 20200201938
Abstract: A method for determining document compatibility between documents stored locally on a plurality of user devices, while maintaining the confidentiality of each of the respective documents. The method includes requesting and receiving a token from each of the plurality of user devices, the token indicative of the presence or absence of a specific element in each respective document. The method further includes comparing the value of each of the respective tokens. When each of the tokens have a true value, the specific element for each respective document to be compatible and sends a message to each of the plurality of user devices indicating the compatibility of the respective documents. When at least one of the tokens has a false value, the specific element for each respective document to be incompatible and sends a message to each of the plurality of user devices indicating the incompatibility of the respective documents.

  • Publication number: 20200202274
Abstract: Systems and methods for identifying tasks and other obligations in a contract and ensuring contract adherence are disclosed. The system provides the contract to a recurrent neural network (RNN) for identification of tasks, dates, parties, and other information contained in the contract. The system then receives a plurality of logical rules from the RNN based on the information extracted by the RNN. The system can also generate a plurality of tasks based on the plurality of logical rules. The system can then generate an acyclic graph where each of the plurality of tasks are assigned to a respective node of the acyclic graph. The method also organizes the plurality of tasks in chronological order based on the acyclic graph. The system can be used to ensure tasks are completed on time, to send reminders when necessary, and to accept modifications and exceptions to the contract, subject to user approval.

  • Publication number: 20200184584
Abstract: A tool configured to cause the system to perform steps of a method is presented. The method includes receiving labeled training data comprising a labeled set of caselaw. The method further includes training a recurrent neural network model using the labeled training data to generate logical rules, wherein the logical rules comprise rules relating legal clauses from the labeled set of caselaw to outcomes from the labeled set of caselaw. The method includes applying the recurrent network model to a corpus of caselaw to generate a first set logical rules. The method includes receiving a first legal document comprising one or more legal clauses and applying the recurrent network model to the first legal document to generate a second set of logical rules. Based on a comparison of the first set of logical rules with the second set of logical rules, determining a relevant case from the corpus of caselaw.

  • Patent number: 10666663
Abstract: Techniques to detect unauthorized access and/or use of a user's account provided by an online web service are provided. A user's activity on the online web service can be monitored to determine a model of the user flow through the online web service. The model of user flow can be unique to the user or can be a model assigned to a cluster of users having similar behaviors or mannerisms when navigating the online web service. The model can vary based on the type of device used by the user to access the online web service. Once a model is determined, subsequent activity on the online web service by the user can be monitored and compared to the model of user flow. Unauthorized access and/or use of the user's online account can be detected if the subsequent activity fails to fit the model of the user flow.

  • Publication number: 20200160529
Abstract: Techniques to improve edge detection in images. Some techniques include logic to process image data into patched image data in accordance with a colorspace model where the patched image data includes color data in a plurality of patches and identify an image group corresponding to the patched image data. The logic may be further configured to select, based upon the image group, a colorspace transform mechanism being operative to transform the image data into transformed image data in accordance with another colorspace model, the other colorspace model having a higher likelihood than the colorspace model at edge detection for the image group. The logic may be further configured to apply the colorspace transform mechanism to the image data to generate the transformed image data in accordance with the other colorspace mode and then, apply an edge detection technique to the transformed image data. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Abstract: A system for determining regulatory compliance of smart contracts is disclosed. The system may receive positive smart contracts that comply with regulations, convert positive section(s) of the positive smart contracts into a first set of intermediate representation of code, and train a neural network to classify smart contract sections. The system may then receive a first smart contract including first sections, convert the first sections into a second set of intermediate representation of code, classify the second set of intermediate representation of code as a first classification corresponding to the first set of intermediate representation of code or as a second classification not corresponding to the first set of intermediate representation of code, and generate for display a negative or positive indication based on the classification.

  • Publication number: 20200110872
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments relate to the secure storage of security questions through an immutable log, such as a blockchain. The security questions may be stored in a centralized location, accessible from an application or browser tab running on the user's device. When a security question is required, such as to perform a password reset on a website, the website may interact with the application or browser tab, which retrieves the question(s) from the blockchain. The user may enter their answers to the question(s), which may be hashed by the application or tab. The hashed answers may be entered into the original requesting website, which may verify with the blockchain that the correct answers have been provided. Thus, the requesting website sees neither the questions nor the answers. Additional security features may include logging requests for questions, so that a user can determine if a security question may have been compromised.

  • Publication number: 20200111338
Abstract: A transaction terminal silent alarm system having processor(s) and memory storing instructions that, when executed by the processor(s), cause the system to perform a method is disclosed. Upon receiving, from a user device, an authentication request to complete a transaction at a transaction terminal, the system may determine whether a fingerprint scan matches a stored fingerprint. Responsive to the fingerprint scan matching a stored normal fingerprint and absent receiving another fingerprint that matches a stored cancellation fingerprint, the system may direct the transaction terminal to complete the transaction. Responsive to the fingerprint scan matching a stored under-duress fingerprint, the system may direct the transaction terminal to send a silent alert to law enforcement and direct the transaction terminal to delay the transaction. Responsive to the fingerprint scan not matching any stored fingerprints, the system may direct the user device to display a fingerprint rescan message.
