  • Publication number: 20020077376
Abstract: A volume reducing agent for processing polystyrene, containing 65-97 wt % of a first plasticizer having a solubility parameter less than the solubility parameter of the polystyrene; and 3-35 wt % of a second plasticizer having a solubility parameter higher than the solubility parameter of the polystyrene. The volume reducing agent is in liquid state, has a Ferdor solubility parameter close to that of polystyrene to be processed in the mixed state and transfers the resulting materials having reduced volume into gel-type products to be floated and easily separated.
    Type: Application
    Filed: December 18, 2000

  • Patent number: 6403661
Abstract: A volume reducing agent for processing expanded polystyrene (EPS), containing 65-97 wt % of a first plasticizer having a solubility parameter less than the solubility parameter of the polystyrene; and 3-35 wt % of a second plasticizer having a solubility parameter higher than the solubility parameter of the polystyrene. The volume reducing agent is in a liquid state, has a Ferdor solubility parameter close to that of the polystyrene to be processed in the mixed state and transfers the resulting materials having reduced volume into gel-type products to be floated and easily separated to yield a high quality output of recycled expanded polystyrene (FPS).

  • Patent number: 5023147
Abstract: A ceramics-metal joined body which excels in high temperature characteristics and joint strength is formed by metallizing the surface of ceramics such as oxides, carbides, borides, nitrides, and composites thereof, and joining a metallic member through a solder to the metallized surface.

  • Patent number: 4072515
Abstract: This invention relates to an electrical contact material of silver-indium oxide type, which is produced by the internal oxidation of an alloy consisting of 6-15% by weight indium, at least one of 0.2-8% by weight tin and 0.01-1% by weight magnesium and the balance silver. This alloy may contain further 0.01-1% by weight of nickel.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 3, 1974
Date of Patent: February 7, 1978
    Assignee: Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd.
Inventors: Kenya Motoyoshi, Masahiro Kume, Yoshinari Amano
  • Patent number: 4050930
Abstract: A material for an electrical contact is produced by an internal oxidation of an alloy consisting of 1-15% by weight of indium, 0.5-12% by weight of tin, 0.01-5% by weight of one selected from manganese and molybdenum, and the balance silver. In a modification an iron group element may be mixed in a range less than 0.5% by weight.
