  • Patent number: 6238953
Abstract: Fabrication of a semiconductor device, with an improved level of exposure of the rear surface of a die pad is enabled during the fabrication of which deformation of a die pad in a resin-encapsulating step is prevented from occurring, and which can be mounted on a printed wiring board with a sufficient soldering strength. In a resin-encapsulated semiconductor device in which a semiconductor element is placed on the front surface of a die pad of a lead frame including: the die pad; and support bars of the die pad that protrude outwardly from sides of the die pad, the semiconductor element and its periphery are encapsulated with a resin material while the rear surface of the die pad is exposed to the external environment, a groove is formed on the rear surface of the support bar so that the groove traverses the support bar in the neighborhood of the boundary between the support bar and the die pad along a direction intersecting a protruding direction of the support bar.

  • Patent number: 5676786
Abstract: A resin molding and a method for producing the molding in which a skin material having a first solid surface layer produced by slush-molding a pulverized mixture of a polypropylene resin and a styrene series thermoplastic elastomer which are then laminated onto a surface of a resinous core by integral molding. The skin material also has at least two additional layers, i.e., a foamed middle layer and a solid inner layer.

  • Patent number: 5489973
Abstract: An image forming apparatus provided with a contact charging device, in which an electrically conductive member contacts a surface of an electrostatic latent image carrier for charging the surface, wherein at least impurity atom selected from the group consisting of elements of Group IA, II, VI and VII of the periodic table is adhered to the electrically conductive member, and a total content of the impurity atom is in a range from 0.05 wt % to 0.45 wt% with respect to all atoms including the impurity atom and atoms forming the electrically conductive member.

  • Patent number: 4737818
Abstract: A toner image fixing device to be incorporated into an electrophotographic copying machine or the like, comprises fixing rollers internally provided with heating means, temperature detecting means for detecting the respective surface temperatures of the fixing rollers, and control means which controls the fixing rollers for preliminary rotation prior to copying operation on the basis of the surface temperature difference between the fixing rollers and a predetermined value. In starting up the electrophotographic copying machine, the preliminary rotation of the fixing rollers is started after the temperature difference between the fixing rollers has reached to a predetermined value to enable heat energy to be transferred from one of the fixing rollers to the other and to eliminate the uneven temperature distribution. The preliminary rotation of the fixing rollers is stopped a predetermined time after the surface temperature of one of the fixing rollers has reached to a predetermined temperature.

  • Patent number: 4582419
Abstract: A copying machine provided with data storing means for storing a plurality of designated magnification ratios and a plurality of hidden magnification ratios, a first key for selecting a desired magnification mode such as designated magnification mode or hidden magnification mode and a plurality of second keys for selecting magnification ratios from the data stored in the data storing means so that various kinds of magnification ratios can be easily selected with a simple operation of the decreased number of keys.

  • Patent number: 4485213
Abstract: A process for producing high impact block copolyamide is described, comprising anion polymerizing .omega.-lactam in the presence of a prepolymer polymerization accelerator. The prepolymer is prepared by reacting a butadiene homopolymer and/or butadiene-acrylonitrile copolymer containing hydroxyl groups at the terminals thereof with polymethylene polyphenylene isocyanate or tolylene diisocyanate at an equivalent ratio of isocyanate group to hydroxyl group (NCO/OH) of 1:1 or more. With the thus-produced high impact block copolyamide, impact strength is greatly improved, and bleeding of polybutadiene is not observed.

  • Patent number: 4183123
Abstract: Disclosed is a yarn texturing apparatus for producing a multifilament yarn containing complex interfilament entanglement, comprising a housing having inlet and outlet ends connected by a yarn passage, a turbulence section in the yarn passage, an exit orifice constituting the yarn outlet and communicating with the turbulence section and means for introducing pressurized gas into the yarn passage, which is improved by providing a yarn guide for separating a multifilament yarn blown out of the exit orifice from blown gas while guiding the yarn along a guide surface of the yarn guide. The yarn guide is provided outside of the housing and in the proximity of the exit end of the orifice, in a condition such that the yarn guide does not cross the center-line of the exit orifice and the guide surface of the yarn guide faces the yarn outlet end surface of the housing.
