Publication number: 20250139612Abstract: One embodiment of the present disclosure provides a system and associated processes for sharing cardholder data (CHD) between a merchant that utilizes tokenization and a second merchant that may or may not utilize tokenization. In one embodiment, the merchant, or an employee of the merchant, can use the system and associated processes to reacquire CHD from a tokenization provider system. In one embodiment, the merchant identifies to the tokenization provider system a desire to share CHD, which is associated with a token, with a second merchant. The merchant and/or the tokenization provider system can then invite the second merchant to register with the tokenization provider system. Once registered with the tokenization provider system, the second merchant can access any CHD that the merchant associated with the second merchant.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 4, 2024Publication date: May 1, 2025Inventors: Kevin James Cronic, Steven Mark Sommers, John David Oder, II, John David Oder, Steven Calandrelli, Jeremy B. Publication number: 20250139883Abstract: Embodiments are configured to render 3D models using an importance sampling method. First, embodiments obtain a 3D model including a plurality of density values corresponding to a plurality of locations in a 3D space, respectively. Embodiments then sample the color information from within a random subset of the plurality of locations using a probability distribution based on the plurality of density values. Embodiments have a higher probability to sample each location within the random subset of locations if the location has a higher density probability. Embodiments then an image depicting a view of the 3D model based on the sampling within the random subset of the plurality of locations.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 1, 2023Publication date: May 1, 2025Inventors: Milos Hasan, Iliyan Georgiev, Sai Bi, Julien Philip, Kalyan K. Patent number: 12242667Abstract: Eye and hand tracking systems in head-mounted display (HMD) devices are arranged with lensless camera systems using optical masks as encoding elements that apply convolutions to optical images of body parts (e.g., eyes or hands) of HMD device users. The convolved body images are scrambled or coded representations that are captured by a sensor in the system, but are not human-recognizable. A machine learning system such as a neural network is configured to extract body features directly from the coded representation without performance of deconvolutions conventionally utilized to reconstruct the original body images in human-recognizable form. The extracted body features are utilized by the respective eye or hand tracking systems to output relevant tracking data for the user's eyes or hands which may be utilized by the HMD device to support various applications and user experiences. The lensless camera and machine learning system are jointly optimizable on an end-to-end basis.Type: GrantFiled: October 3, 2023Date of Patent: March 4, 2025Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Curtis Alan Tesdahl, Benjamin Eliot Lundell, David Rohn, Dmitry Reshidko, Dmitriy Churin, Kevin James Matherson, Sayyed Jaffar Ali Raza

Patent number: 12238828Abstract: The present disclosure related to an electric grill's housing, controller, and a mounting bracket which mounts the controller to the housing. The mounting bracket is generally hollow and forms a thermal barrier between the controller and the housing, wherein the thermal barrier protects the controller from heat generated in the housing. As a result, the controller does not require insulation and may include lower temperature rated components. Moreover, the mounting bracket may have metallic tabs which interface with spring elements on the controller, thereby fastening the controller to the bracket. These spring elements and metallic tabs may be in electric communication with the housing, thereby allowing the controller to act as an electric ground with respect to the housing.Type: GrantFiled: June 10, 2021Date of Patent: February 25, 2025Assignee: Weber-Stephen Products LLCInventor: Kevin James Schmeski

Publication number: 20250032787Abstract: Methods, systems and devices are provided which transmit energy to a body lumen or passageway in the form of pulsed electric fields (PEFs) and in a manner which provides focal therapy. In some embodiments, PEFs are delivered through independent electrically active electrodes of an energy delivery body, typically in a monopolar fashion. Such delivery concentrates the electrical energy over a smaller surface area, resulting in stronger effects than delivery through an electrode extending circumferentially around the lumen or passageway. It also forces the electrical energy to be delivered in a staged regional approach, mitigating the effect of preferential current pathways through the surrounding tissue. Focal delivery of PEFs can provide increased tissue lethality by employing precise timing and sequencing of energy delivery to the electrodes.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 25, 2024Publication date: January 30, 2025Applicant: Galvanize Therapeutics, Inc.Inventors: William Sanford Krimsky, Paul Brian Friedrichs, Roman Turovskiy, Robert E. Patent number: 12201397Abstract: The invention may be applied to selectively heat a diseased area in the lung while minimizing heating to the healthy area and surrounding tissue. This can be done by exposing the lung to an electromagnetic field causing dielectric or eddy current heating. The invention is particularly useful for treating emphysema as the diseased areas in emphysema patients have reduced blood flow. The diseased area will heat up rapidly while the healthy tissue will be cooled by the blood flow. This is particularly effective for treating emphysema because of the low mass of the lungs and the high blood flow. To avoid heating of surrounding organs the direction of the electromagnetic energy may be switched in a way it always passes through lungs but only intermittently passes through adjacent organs.Type: GrantFiled: August 23, 2022Date of Patent: January 21, 2025Assignee: IKOMED Technologies Inc.Inventors: Samuel Victor Lichtenstein, Daniel Gelbart, Eran Elizur, Kevin James Cannons

Patent number: 12205322Abstract: Techniques and systems are provided for positioning mixed-reality devices within mixed-reality environments. The devices, which are configured to perform inside out tracking, transition between position tracking states in mixed-reality environments and utilize positional information from other inside out tracking devices that share the mixed-reality environments to identify/update positioning of the devices when they become disoriented within the environments and without requiring an extensive or full scan and comparison/matching of feature points that are detectable by the devices with mapped feature points of the maps associated with the mixed-reality environments. Such techniques can conserve processing and power consumption that would be required when performing a full or extensive scan and comparison of matching feature points. Such techniques can also enhance the accuracy and speed of positioning mixed-reality devices.Type: GrantFiled: October 20, 2023Date of Patent: January 21, 2025Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Erik Alexander Hill, Kathleen Carol Heasley, Jake Thomas Shields, Kevin James-Peddicord Luecke, Robert Neil Drury, Garret Paul Jacobson

Patent number: 12197428Abstract: In embodiments, a first resource is produced for a first dataset having a time indicator, by applying a first digital rule. A first notification can be caused to be transmitted about an aspect of the first resource to a remote device. A second dataset can be stored, which has values derived from the first dataset, and encodes a parameter of the first resource. A second digital rule may be stored to replace the first digital rule, at an updating time (Tupd). The second digital rule may have an effective time (Teff) prior to the actual updating time Tupd. A second resource may be produced by applying the second digital rule. A second notification can be caused to be transmitted about an aspect of the second resource to a remote device.Type: GrantFiled: December 5, 2023Date of Patent: January 14, 2025Assignee: AVALARA, INC.Inventors: Gregory T.
