  • Publication number: 20240293842
Abstract: A substrate for use in an aqueous slurry has a polymeric coating to provide a compliant and sticky surface. The polymer coating has a chemical to render the surface hydrophobic so as to attract hydrophobic or hydrophobized mineral particles in the slurry. The substrate can take the form of a conveyor belt, a bead, a mesh, an impeller, a filter or a flat surface. The substrate can also be an open-cell foam. The polymeric coating can be modified with tackifiers; plasticizers; crosslinking agents; chain transfer agents; chain extenders; adhesion promoters; aryl or alky copolymers; fluorinated copolymers and/or additives; hydrophobizing agents such as hexamethyldisilazane; inorganic particles such as silica, hydrophobic silica, and/or fumed hydrophobic silica; MQ resin; and/or other additives to control and modify the properties of the polymer.

  • Publication number: 20240297851
Abstract: Methods for transmitting asynchronous event data via synchronous communications interfaces (and associated imaging systems) are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, an imager comprises an array of event vision pixels, and a synchronous communications transmitter configured to transmit frames of data to a synchronous communications receiver. The pixels generate event data based on activity within an external scene. The imager communicates, at a first time and to the receiver, an anticipated amount of data that will be included in a frame transmitted to the receiver at a second time. The anticipated amount of data can be based on a prediction of an amount of event data that will be generated at a future point in time for transmission to the receiver in the frame. The imager can then transmit the frame to the receiver at the second time with an amount of data corresponding to the anticipated amount of data.

  • Publication number: 20240257650
Abstract: A system for assessing safe fulfillment of a mission plan or flight plan by a pilot receives physiological pilot monitoring data sensed inflight while the pilot is executing a flight plan. The system correlates pilot monitoring data with specific flight operations performs a post-flight fatigue assessment of the pilot (e.g., a performance score with respect to the completed flight plan and/or an assessment of the current fatigue state of the pilot). The system adds the pilot's post-flight fatigue state assessment to an individualized pilot profile. On receiving a subsequent flight plan for fulfillment by the pilot, the system performs a pre-flight risk assessment based on all available information, e.g., a risk assessment with respect to the pilot's fulfillment of the flight plan as a whole and/or specific risk assessments corresponding to fulfillment of component flight operations of the flight plan.

Abstract: A computerized method is provided for digitally signing a digital document related to a transaction request from a customer. The method includes receiving, by a computing device, data related to the transaction request from the customer via a web-based interface. Receipt of the transaction data initiates a request session. The method also includes recording during the request session a voice signature sample from the customer via the web-based user interface and verifying the customer for the transaction request by comparing the voice signature sample with a stored voice print of the customer. Further, a consolidated record for the transaction request is generated that includes the transaction data and the transaction result. The digital document is populated with the transaction data if the customer is verified, where the digital document is treated as being digitally signed by the customer.
