  • Patent number: 5016056
Abstract: Multicolor electrophotographic apparatus secures the ends of a receiving sheet in a trough which runs parallel to the axis of rotation of a transfer roller. An inclined surface in the trough gradually declines the transfer sheet away from the periphery of the transfer roller to prevent a photoconductive drum from receiving a jar as it rides off the edge of the transfer sheet. Preferably, the means defining the declining ramp surface also defines vacuum holes for securing the ends of the receiving sheet.

  • Patent number: 4994827
Abstract: A variety of sizes of color prints are made electrophotographically utilizing a single large size receiving sheet, for example, a receiving sheet that is 12.times.18 inches. The large size receiving sheet can be secured to a transfer roller to be cycled through the repeated single color transfers. The receiving sheet is large enough to receive one multicolor image of the largest size or an array of smaller sized multicolor images. The receiving sheet with smaller images is cut to size after transfer.

  • Patent number: 4979354
Abstract: A device for facilitating driving of a threaded screw into a member by a screw driver having a shank and a drive head. Such device comprises an elongated housing having first and second longitudinally aligned portions, the first portion configured to readily removably receive the shank of the screw driver with a friction fit restraining the shank to limited relative movement with respect to the first portion along the longitudinal axis of the shank, and defining an enlarged longitudinal slot through which the drive head and shank of the screw driver are insertable at an angle to the longitudinal axis of the first portion. A second portion is configured to have one end engageable with such member and receive a threaded screw and drive head in driving relation therein.

  • Patent number: 4941016
Abstract: A photoconductive image receiving member for an electrostatographic reproduction apparatus capable of optical copying and nonimpact printing. The electrostatographic reproduction apparatus includes an assembly for producing a direct light image of a document for optical copying of such document, an assembly for producing an electronically generated light image of information for nonimpact printing of such information, and a photoconductive image receiving member upon which direct light and electronically generated light images are exposed to produce corresponding latent image charge patterns. The photoconductive image receiving member comprises a first portion having characteristics optimized to be responsive to light in the range of direct light produced by the direct light image producing assembly, and a second portion having characteristics optimized to be responsive to light in the range of light produced by the electronically generated light image producing assembly.
