Patent number: 11798016Abstract: A real-time survey system can monitor real-time event and interaction data generated as a user interacts with an application. Using the event data in combination with static user attributes, the survey system can identify a subset of microsurveys a user is eligible to receive or participate in. Identifying eligibility can include applying one or more filters based on user attributes as well as detecting a triggering event that signals real-time relevance of the survey to the user's actions. If the user is eligible for multiple surveys, the survey system can select a single survey to send to the user. Surveys can be presented to users directly using the real-time survey system instead of via an alternate delivery method, such as email. After collecting survey data, survey system can automatically analyze survey responses, including by performing machine learning based thematic analysis on freeform text responses.Type: GrantFiled: May 26, 2021Date of Patent: October 24, 2023Assignee: SPRIG TECHNOLOGIES INC.Inventors: Amos Jose Barreto, Kevin Matthew Mandich, Ryan James Glasgow, Christopher Lee Oyler

Patent number: 11516277Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for coordinating content selection across devices. A user device may transmit a request for webpage content and in response, may receive response communications that include the webpage content, embedded content, and a script. The user device may retrieve a device identifier initially generated by a remote system from a locally stored data object. The user device can detect, using the script, whether at least part of the embedded content is being presented within a portion of the webpage that is displayed on a screen of the user device. The user device may then transmit a report communication to a remote ID-graph system that includes the device identifier and an indication as to whether the at least part of the embedded content was presented within the portion of the webpage that was displayed on the screen of the user device.Type: GrantFiled: September 8, 2020Date of Patent: November 29, 2022Assignee: ORACLE INTERNATIONAL CORPORATIONInventors: Kevin Matthew Whitcher, David Michael Mitchell, Robin Layne Opie, Thomas Joseph Waits, Rong Xia

Publication number: 20220301291Abstract: Digital image segmentation is provided. The method comprises training a neural network for image segmentation with a labeled training dataset from a first domain, wherein a subset of nodes in the neural net are dropped out during training. The neural network receives image data from a second, different domain. A vector of N values that sum to 1 is calculated for each image element, wherein each value represents an image segmentation class. A label is assigned to each image element according to the class with the highest value in the vector. Multiple inferences are performed with active dropout layers for each image element, and an uncertainty value is generated for each image element. Uncertainty is resolved according to expected characteristics. The label of any image element with an uncertainty above a threshold is replaced with a new label corresponding to a segmentation class based on domain knowledge.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 3, 2022Publication date: September 22, 2022Inventors: Carianne Martinez, Kevin Matthew Potter, Emily Donahue, Matthew David Smith, Charles J. Snider, John P. Korbin, Scott Alan Roberts, Lincoln Collins
