  • Patent number: 9620400
Abstract: Some aspects of the present disclosure relate to a system having a substrate device, a substrate support surface, and a substrate handler that positions the substrate device on the substrate support surface. The substrate device and the substrate support surface may have counterpart coarse position units and fine position units. The system may measure coarse positional offsets between the first and second coarse position units, re-position the substrate device on the substrate support surface based on the coarse positional offsets, and subsequently measure fine positional offsets between the first and second fine position units. In some implementations, the substrate device is integrally coupled to the substrate handler via a wireless communication link in order to communicate position information as feedback for further placement.

  • Patent number: 9517720
Abstract: A school bus sign with increased visibility is provided. The school bus stop sign apparatus includes at least a first stop sign and a second stop sign. The first stop sign may be pivotally attached to the side of a school bus. The second stop sign is attached to and substantially parallel with the side of the school bus. The second stop sign includes an indicator that allows drivers to sense that the bus is stopped to pick up children. When activated, the first stop sign may pivot 90 degrees and may be substantially perpendicular to the side of the bus. The indicator, such as a light, may be activated on the second stop sign. Therefore, a driver may see that the bus is picking up children from the front, the rear and the side.

  • Publication number: 20160274996
Abstract: Software-managed resources are used to utilize effective-to-real memory address translation for synchronization among processes executing on processor cores in a multi-core computing system. A failure to find a pre-determined effective memory address translation in an effective-to-real memory address translation table on a first processor core triggers an address translation exception in a second processor core and causes an exception handler on the second processor core to start a new process, thereby acting as a means to achieve synchronization among processes on the first processor core and the second processor core. The specific functionality is implemented in the exception handler, which is tailored to respond to the exception based on the address that generated it.

  • Publication number: 20160086252
Abstract: A system may include a platform for an application to support processing flows for a service provider, such as ordering, sales, support, service delivery, and related process flows. The system may provide a limited set of application programming interfaces (APIs) that map to an application's user-experience page flows. The APIs may always appear to the application that the interaction process completed successfully—even if human intervention is required—to allow the application to complete the transaction. The system may have the ability to recognize the same user, and leverage that user's behavior across interactions with multiple sales channels. The system may thus provide, in one aspect, an enhanced user experience for ordering and maintaining complex service and equipment offerings.
