  • Publication number: 20160352918
Abstract: A method at a user equipment to verify enablement of data billing splitting using a virtual subscriber identity module platform (‘VSP’) service, the method including receiving a credential at the user equipment, the credential including an international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI) from a physical universal integrated circuit card (UICC) subscriber identity module (SIM) application; storing the credential on the user equipment; checking, at a VSP service module on the user equipment, whether the credential matches an IMSI of a UICC currently inserted into the user equipment; if the checking determines a match, enabling the data billing splitting; and if the checking determines a mismatch, preventing enablement of the data billing splitting.

Abstract: A solar panel support assembly (12) for movably supporting a solar panel (10) relative to a surface (22) of a vehicle (624) comprises a fixed support member (14), a movable support member (16), and a locking assembly (20). The fixed support member (14) is fixedly coupled to the surface (22). The movable support member (16) is configured to retain the solar panel (10), the movable support member (16) being movably coupled to the fixed support member (14). The locking assembly (20) is movable between a locked position and an unlocked position. • Publication number: 20160223275
Abstract: A recoil controller is disclosed whose body 1 incorporates a strategically designed inner surface or surfaces 2. A moving countermass 6 impacts one or more times against one or more inner surfaces 2. During this process momentum is transferred from the countermass 6, to the inner surfaces 2, and then to the body 1 of the recoil controller, and then to anything to which it is attached or against which it is braced. The distributions, over time, of the momenta resulting from this transfer of momentum will depend on various factors including the composition, geometry and placement of the inner surfaces 2. A given recoil controller is designed such that the distributions, over time, of the momenta resulting from its use, are preferable to the distributions, over time, of the original momenta. The countermass 6? shown in FIG. 1 is the countermass 6 shown after one impact.

  • Patent number: 9390418
Abstract: A system, method and computer program product for processing event records. The present invention includes a detection layer, an analysis layer, an expert systems layer and a presentation layer. The layered system includes a core infrastructure and a configurable, domain-specific implementation. The detection layer employs one or more detection engines, such as, for example, a rules-based thresholding engine and a profiling engine. The detection layer can include an AI-based pattern recognition engine for analyzing data records, for detecting new and interesting patterns and for updating the detection engines to insure that the detection engines can detect the new patterns. In one embodiment, the present invention is implemented as a telecommunications fraud detection system. When fraud is detected, the detection layer generates alarms which are sent to the analysis layer. The analysis layer filters and consolidates the alarms to generate fraud cases.

  • Patent number: 9384493
Abstract: A computing apparatus is configured to quantify consumer sentiment at an aggregated or micro level using transaction data that records the transactions processed by a transaction handler of a payment system. A quantification model is generated based on correlating transaction data with respective emotional content indices extracted from data sources, such as regional news, weather, stock markets, movie themes, local sports, employment, traffic conditions, etc. Using the quantification model, consumer sentiment can be evaluated at various granularity levels, based on the granularity of the user group and the time period of the transaction data used in the quantification model.

  • Patent number: 9361297
Abstract: A method for providing a data binding abstraction. The method includes serving an interactive document via a digital data communications network using a server. The method includes generating, with intelligence in the document, a data binding request to resolve a data value placeholder that has no static data location or source reference. With a data binding web service, the method includes generating a data dictionary request that includes a placeholder identifier. The method includes using the data binding web service to process a data dictionary response which includes placeholder content for the placeholder to determine a source of the data value. The method includes the data binding web service accessing the determined data source to obtain the data value and providing the interactive document with a response including the placeholder identifier and the resolved placeholder data value. The interactive document then replaces the placeholders with the returned data value.
