  • Publication number: 20240016522
Abstract: The present invention provides an intramedullary nail implant system in which the nail body includes drive components which provide for independent compression on medial lateral screws to compress the interface between the tibia and talus, and in the sub-talar joint between the talus and calcaneus. An outrigger is provided which functions as a drill guide and helps to stabilize the construct and create and hold compression during the surgical procedure and a surgical method is provided which uses the system to achieve ankle fusion.

  • Patent number: 11642465
Abstract: A part of a device for injecting a liquid product having an end sleeve and a syringe support which is able to move with respect to the end sleeve. The syringe support is designed to bear an injection syringe fitted with a removable protective cap. A deformable ring is kinematically connected to the syringe support. This ring can be deformed elastically between a configuration which is designed to axially immobilize the injection syringe in the syringe support, and a configuration designed to allow the protective cap to pass through the deformable ring.

  • Publication number: 20220265270
Abstract: The invention is an inserter for a staple having a bridge member and opposing open legs and the inserter has a carriage, including a carriage body having at least one rail and a staple mount that holds the staple and provides a pair of camming members at the terminal end of a pair of deflectable or openable legs. The inserter has a syringe style deployment mechanism in which a finger pull is engaged by two fingers to draw the carriage upward on the rail and to cause the staple legs to meet the camming members such that the legs come into a transverse position. The invention further relates to an inserter system which includes the inserter and a drill guide.

  • Publication number: 20220257380
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to improved plate and screw systems for use in fusion and other surgical procedures, which improve the ability to effectively affix adjacent bodies without gapping or experiencing loss of compression over time. The systems include plates having armatures configured to receive bushings, the bushings configured to pivot and rotate and thereby permit a greater degree of orientation of corresponding screws placed through the bushings. In embodiments, the bushings comprise anti-rotation elements which lock the bushings in a desired orientation. Methods for use of the components described herein are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11285270
Abstract: An assistance device for assisting in operation of an injection syringe including a syringe body carrying an injection needle covered with a protective cap. The assistance device includes a support for housing the syringe body, and a removal device for removing the protective cap, having a gripping member to be maneuvered by a user to remove this protective cap from the injection needle, and at least one extractor cooperating with the protective cap during removal of the protective cap. The removal device also has complementary members for controlling the extractor, which can be moved relative to each other in a relative engagement movement, to move the extractor between a reference configuration retracted relative to the protective cap and a cooperation configuration cooperating with the protective cap. The relative engagement movement is independent of the maneuvering movement applied by the user to the gripping member to remove the protective cap.
