  • Publication number: 20100123013
Abstract: A thermostatic mixing valve having a hot water inlet for connection to a supply of hot water, a cold water inlet for connection to a supply of cold water, an outlet for temperature controlled water and a valve device for controlling the relative proportions of hot and cold water admitted to a mixing chamber. The outlet communicates with the mixing chamber to receive temperature controlled water having a desired temperature. A temperature control adjusts the valve device in accordance with the desired temperature of the temperature controlled water where the valve device and the mixing chamber form flow passages for the incoming streams of hot and cold water and are configured such that the velocity of the incoming water streams is maintained and the incoming water streams are turned to flow in the same direction so that flow of one stream can entrain and assist flow of the other stream.

Abstract: A method of locating and ablating a target tissue is described. The method includes providing a catheter that has at least one light guide, where the light guide is adaptable to receive light from a light source. A distal portion of the catheter is advanced through vasculature of a patient towards the target tissue. A nanoparticle dye is introduced into the patient, where the nanoparticles selectively bind to the target tissue. The target tissue is mapped by detecting fluorescence light emitted from the nanoparticle dye bound to the tissue. The distal tip of the catheter is positioned adjacent to the mapped target tissue, and a light pulse is transmitted through the light guide to ablate at least a portion of the target tissue.

  • Patent number: 7340656
Abstract: The subject invention facilitates the efficient operation of the disassembly of the microprocessor bus by providing an apparatus and method for detecting and correcting a strobe phase inversion and predrive filtering in a 2× source synchronous data transfer bus. Apparatus according to the subject invention detects a data strobe inversion in a source synchronous 2× data bus and corrects for this inversion by reordering the received data as well as filtering predrive effects in real time. Specifically, this apparatus according to the subject invention monitors bus traffic in a multiprocessor environment and correctly captures all double data rate exchanges regardless of the source IC or destination IC in the system.

  • Publication number: 20070179648
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of capturing user assessment data in addition to a data capture system, and computer-executable instructions configured to compile one or more sets of user assessment data. The user assessment data compiled is preferably used to assess a user's risk of injury caused by operating a computer. The methodology of the invention employs the process of firstly receiving computer usage data, then receiving user feedback data. In some instances the invention also receives computer configuration data. This received data is compiled into a user assessment data set.

  • Patent number: 7235148
Abstract: A printed wiring board is formed from two or more layers, one of which has circuit lines formed thereon, and wherein the surfaces of the circuit lines are roughened only in areas that require good copper to laminate adhesion. The remainder of the circuit line surfaces are smooth. Thus, those areas for propagation of the signal on signal lines have the circuit lines smooth to maximize the signal propagation effect, while those areas where the signal propagation is not critical are rough, which improves the adhesion of one layer to another. On the voltage planes, the surface in those regions opposite the smooth surfaces of the signal planes is smooth. Thus, these areas of the voltage planes can be maintained smooth while the other areas of the surface of the voltage planes can be roughened, providing good adhesion to the adjoining dielectric material.
