  • Patent number: 10127524
Abstract: A computing system causes a plurality of display devices to display user interfaces containing portions of a canvas shared by a plurality of users. The canvas is a graphical space containing discrete graphical elements located at arbitrary locations within the canvas. Each of the discrete graphical elements graphically represents a discrete resource. When a user interacts with a resource in the set of resources, the computing system modifies the canvas to include an interaction element indicating that the user is interacting with the resource. The computer system then causes the display devices to update the user interfaces such that the user interfaces reflect a substantially current state of the canvas. In this way, the users may be able to understand which ones of the users are interacting with which ones of the resources.

  • Patent number: 10123820
Abstract: A biopsy system with a grid plate used as either a lateral or medial compression plate of a localization fixture used with a breast coil includes a rotatable guide cube that may be inserted into a desired rectangular recess in the grid plate after rotating to position a selected guide hole in the desired spatial orientation. Versions of a guide cube include those rotatable in two axes to provide additional hole positions, angled holes, enlarged circular holes that function with a rotating guide to support a noncircular biopsy instrument cannula (e.g., trocar/sleeve combination, core biopsy probe of a biopsy device) for rotation. A rotating guide may have an unlocked state for easily sliding to a selected longitudinal position thereon. Thereafter, the rotating guide is locked to serve as a positive depth stop (e.g., quarter turn locking elastomeric rings, triangular and scissor clips, and shutter depth stops).

  • Patent number: 10125037
Abstract: In recent years, a great deal of attention has been drawn to the issue of water contamination, particularly in developing countries, where an inexpensive, effective method of reducing waterborne pathogens and contaminants is needed. Experiments performed with mucilage extracted from the Opuntia ficus-indica cactus show that this mucilage is an effective tool for clearing contaminants from water supplies, including the removal of Escherichia coli and Bacillus cereus bacteria, and the reduction of arsenic concentrations with very low mucilage concentrations (5 mg/L and 10 mg/L). Results for Bacillus and E. coli show settling to be complete in approximately five to ten minutes with removal rates of up to 97%, when CaCl2 is co-applied. Arsenic is removed at between 35% to 85% by increasing the contact time between the mucilage and the arsenic solutions depending on the pH and mucilage concentration.

  • Patent number: 10125797
Abstract: A load sense passage in a load sense hydraulic system may be vented by allowing flow from the load sense passage to a reservoir via a drain passage when a first flow control valve is in a neutral position. This venting may be prevented by preventing flow from the load sense passage to a reservoir via the drain passage when the first flow control valve is in a flow-allowing position.

  • Patent number: 10128779
Abstract: Method and system for protecting induction motors from stalled start conditions provide a motor overload protection device that includes a stalled start detector capable of differentiating long start from stalled start conditions. This helps the motor overload protection device identify a stalled start condition right away and trip immediately rather than allowing the motor to continue drawing locked rotor current for the duration of the startup interval. Such a motor overload protection device may be used with any suitable multiphase induction motors, including two-phase motors, three phase motors, and the like. And because only the motor phase currents are used to detect the stalled start condition, the motor overload protection device disclosed herein does not require voltage phase shift information and/or motor speed measurements, thereby simplifying overall management of the motor.
