    Abstract: A signal transmission method and an apparatus. The method includes: a location management device receives first SRS resource configuration information from a serving cell and/or a neighboring cell. The location management device sends second SRS resource configuration information to a terminal device, where the second SRS resource configuration information includes third SRS resource configuration information and a downlink reference signal associated with an SRS resource indicated by the third SRS resource configuration information, and the third SRS resource configuration information is a part or all of the first SRS resource configuration information. The location management device configures the SRS resource for the terminal device, so that the SRS resource can be associated with the downlink reference signal. This helps the terminal device obtain information about a transmission beam for sending an SRS, and therefore SRS receiving efficiency of the cell can be improved to some extent.

The parameters may configure a receiver (the UE or the node) to perform channel sensing before transmitting a channel idle indication to the transmitter as part of a channel access procedure to initiate a channel occupancy. A target device is configured with N (N?2) SRSs that include a reference SRS and N?1 target SRS. Lower layer signaling, such as a MAC-CE or a DCI message, is used to activate the N?1 target SRS, such that each of the N SRSs is transmitted on a respective carrier component from a common antenna port. The lower level signaling used to activate the target SRS may identify configuration parameters of the target SRS that are to be overridden by the corresponding configuration parameters of the reference SRS. Embodiments of the present disclosure increase the effective SRS bandwidth, which may improve positioning measurement accuracy, while also reducing the higher-layer configuration signaling by activating target SRS in lower layer signaling and overriding some configuration parameters of the target SRS by the corresponding configuration parameters of the reference SRS.

    Abstract: Methods and devices utilizing downlink channel measurements for customization of downlink positioning reference signals (DL PRs) are provided. A serving base station (BS) for a targeted device and one or more non-serving BSs transmit respective downlink reference signals (DL RSs) to the targeted device. The targeted device reports respective downlink channel measurement information for each BS based on the received DL RSs. The BSs each transmit a respective DL PRS to the targeted device for downlink positioning measurement, wherein the respective DL PRS for each BS is configured based in part on the respective downlink channel measurement information reported by the targeted device for that BS. This allows the DL PRS for each BS to be configured taking into account downlink channel conditions between the BS and the targeted device, which can potentially improve positioning measurement accuracy by improving reception of the DL PRS at the targeted device.
