    Abstract: A retractable eave structure of a foldable tent includes a pole assembly having a first end and an opposing second end. The pole assembly first end is pivotally coupled to a hub for pivotal movement between an open state and a folded state of the foldable tent. The pole assembly is retractable such that a length between the first and second ends is adjustable between the open and folded states of the foldable tent. An eave portion of the foldable tent is constructed of tent fabric and fixedly attached to and extends from a main portion of the foldable tent. The eave portion includes an outer perimeter having a housing portion. The outer end of the pole assembly is fixed within the housing portion such that in the open state the pole assembly is extended and the eave portion is substantially taut.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a foldable tent with a vent and corresponding rain fly for providing the tent with continuous ventilation while protecting the vent and interior of the tent from adverse weather conditions. The frame of the tent includes a hub, a plurality of roof poles and auxiliary poles pivotally coupled to the hub, and a plurality of leg poles coupled to the corresponding roof poles. Coupled to the frame is a canopy which includes the vent at a top portion of the canopy to allow air from continuously entering and exiting the interior of the tent. The rain fly is integral to the canopy and corresponding auxiliary pole, and is disposed proximate the vent. Thus, the foldable tent of the present invention is provided with secure and continuous ventilation, and is opened and folded without requiring additional assembly of components.

    Abstract: A hub assembly for a foldable tent includes a base and a plurality of slots formed on the base. Each slot is formed by a pair of side walls which are integrally formed on the base and includes a pivoting axis substantially normal between the corresponding pair of side walls. Poles are connected to opposing side walls of each corresponding slot for pivotal movement about the pivoting axis. In an open configuration of the tent inner ends of each of the poles engages the engaging surface of the base and is restricted from pivotal movement beyond the engaging surface, and in the closed configuration the inner ends of each pole is disengaged from the engaging surface of the base such that each pole is pivotable to a position substantially perpendicular to each corresponding engaging surface of the base.

The foldable tent-cot also includes a pair of outer X-shaped support racks pivotally connected to outer ends of opposing elongated rods and a central X-shaped support rack pivotally connected to central portions of opposing elongated rods. Each X-shaped support rack is defined by a pair of support legs that intersect adjacently at an intersection point and is further supported by support rods. The foldable tent-cot also includes vertical supports connected to the intersection points of each outer X-shaped support rack. A tent is coupled to the elongated rods and to the vertical supports. The integral tent-cot is foldable to a compact state wherein the connecting rods, support rods, X-shaped support racks and vertical supports are collectively folded substantially parallel and adjacent to each other along with the tent.

    Abstract: A hub assembly for a tent has open, intermediate, and closed configurations, with pairs of fasteners and pins having a first distance in a first direction substantially equal to a second distance between fasteners and the pins along a second direction different from the first direction. When the first and second distances are equal, a biasing member is in a first state in both the open and closed configurations. In the intermediate configuration between the open and closed configurations, the biasing member has a second state which is compressed, and a vertical distance between pairs of fasteners and pins is greater than the first distance. Moving the poles from the intermediate configuration to either the open or the closed configurations decreases the vertical distance between the fastener and the pin which transitions the biasing member from the second state to the less compressed first state.

The base has a shaft and a plurality of walls, with the central member slidably disposed in the shaft. The biasing member is disposed in the shaft to bias the central member upward to bias the hub upward from the base.     Abstract: The present invention provides a roof connecting mechanism of a foldable tent wherein a connecting hub is pivotally connected to roof strut rods so that the roof strut rods are movable in a compact manner relative to the connecting hub. The connecting hub includes pivoting cabinets in radial arrangement for pivoting the ends of each roof strut rod which has sufficient space to accommodate the ends of the roof strut rods when the tent is both in an open and folded configuration. The connecting hub also includes a stopper to limit the movement of the roof strut rods when in the open configuration. Such construction allows for a simple and compact opening and folding of the tent.
