  • Patent number: 8621685
Abstract: An extendable folding bed frame includes a pair of first sub-frames having a pair of spaced apart and extendable longitudinal bars, each longitudinal bar having a first end and a second end. The opposing longitudinal bars are fixedly connected together by a plurality of lateral support bars. The pair of first sub-frames are pivotally connected together at corresponding longitudinal bar first ends by first pivotal connecting members. The pair of first sub-frames are pivotable from an open configuration whereby each first sub-frame is aligned longitudinally to form a generally rectangular co-planar support surface and a folded configuration whereby each first sub-frame is substantially overlapped and adjacent to each other. The folding bed frame also includes a connecting bracket for attaching additional bed frames to provide a larger mattress support surface.

  • Patent number: 8590554
Abstract: The present invention provides an instant tent with an integral vent and corresponding rain fly for providing the tent with continuous ventilation while protecting the vent and interior of the tent from adverse weather conditions. The frame of the tent includes a hub, a plurality of roof poles and eave poles pivotally coupled to the hub, and a plurality of leg poles coupled to the corresponding roof poles. Coupled to the frame is an enclosed canopy which includes the vent at a top portion of the canopy to allow air from continuously entering and exiting the interior of the tent. The rain fly is attached to the canopy and corresponding eave pole, and is disposed proximate the vent. Thus, the instant tent of the present invention is provided with secure and continuous ventilation, and is opened and closed without requiring additional assembly of components.

  • Publication number: 20130174883
Abstract: The present invention provides a multi-functional instant tent collapsible from an open configuration to a collapsed configuration. The instant tent comprises an instant set-up frame which is coupled to an outer surface of a rain fly. An inner surface of the rain fly is detachably coupled to an outer surface of an enclosed inner tent. The instant tent is configured such that the frame, rain fly and inner tent remain coupled together in the collapsed configuration in a compact state for easy storage and transport. In the open configuration, the instant tent could be used as an enclosed shelter when the inner tent and rain fly are attached to each other, and as an open shelter when the inner tent is detached and removed from the instant tent.

  • Publication number: 20130014794
Abstract: A foldable tent having a frame assembly and a cover fixed to the frame assembly such that an enclosed area is provided when the tent is erected in an open configuration, and the frame assembly and cover are collectively compactly collapsed and folded together in a collapsed configuration of the tent. The frame assembly includes a plurality of independent frame members detached from each other. Each frame member has an upper frame member and a pair of side frame members, each comprising a plurality of pole sections. The upper frame member and the pair of side frame members are pivotally coupled together. • Publication number: 20120317717
Abstract: A foldable tent-cot includes two elongated rods each having a pair of connecting rods pivotally connected to each other. The foldable tent-cot also includes a pair of outer X-shaped support racks pivotally connected to outer ends of opposing elongated rods and a central X-shaped support rack pivotally connected to central portions of opposing elongated rods. Each X-shaped support rack is defined by a pair of support legs that intersect adjacently at an intersection point and is further supported by support rods. The foldable tent-cot also includes vertical supports connected to the intersection points of each outer X-shaped support rack. A tent is coupled to the elongated rods and to the vertical supports. The integral tent-cot is foldable to a compact state wherein the connecting rods, support rods, X-shaped support racks and vertical supports are collectively folded substantially parallel and adjacent to each other along with the tent.

  • Publication number: 20120318316
Abstract: A hub assembly for a foldable tent includes a base and a plurality of slots formed on the base. Each slot is formed by a pair of side walls which are integrally formed on the base and includes a pivoting axis substantially normal between the corresponding pair of side walls. Poles are connected to opposing side walls of each corresponding slot for pivotal movement about the pivoting axis. In an open configuration of the tent inner ends of each of the poles engages the engaging surface of the base and is restricted from pivotal movement beyond the engaging surface, and in the closed configuration the inner ends of each pole is disengaged from the engaging surface of the base such that each pole is pivotable to a position substantially perpendicular to each corresponding engaging surface of the base.
