  • Publication number: 20100033349
Abstract: A system and method for detecting the railway vehicle with a plurality of RFID readers and tags are disclosed. Railway vehicle directional movement on specific track can be detected and updated by the RF communication of the readers and tags. The railway system also includes a computer which monitors a couple of RFID readers for the real-time railway vehicle position. Intelligent detection algorithm is implemented in the reader to identify specific railway vehicle, on a particular track for at least one track in bidirectional or parallel direction. For encoding the data, each RF tag is of unique ID and the RF signal is encrypted.

  • Patent number: 7457605
Abstract: A receiver (200) includes a transconductance mixer (310), a polyphase filter (320), and a transimpedance amplifier (330). The transconductance mixer (310) mixes a radio frequency (RF) voltage signal into a current signal having a plurality of phases using a local oscillator signal. The polyphase filter (320) filters the current signal to provide a filtered current signal. The transimpedance amplifier (330) converts the filtered current signal into an output voltage signal.

  • Patent number: 7397914
Abstract: A hybrid with a plurality of selectable hybrid input paths each having an associated hybrid input path filter is provided. The hybrid includes a plurality of selectable receive paths each having an associated receive path filter. The hybrid further includes a hybrid output. The selection of any filter is non-mutually exclusive to the concurrent selection of another filter.

  • Patent number: 6955447
Abstract: A remote control assembly comprising a signal light and a spotlight comprises a lamp receptacle, a combined light, two driving device for the combined light, a base stand, circuit board and suction disk. The combined light includes signal light and spotlight, lamp shields, lens and supporting shafts. When assembled, it is rotatably mounted in the lamp receptacle. One of driving device can make the combined light rotate upward and downward in the range of 250°, and can provide large visual angle in the evening or at night, even beyond 90°, and the other driving device can make the combined light rotate horizontally in the wide range of 360°. In addition, it (the combined light) has good performance of weather proof and super bright illumination. In emergency condition, its flashing light can be seen from several kilometers away. It is suitable for use on deck, galley, trailers and utility vehicles.

  • Patent number: 6944213
Abstract: An analog front end for communicating discrete multitone modulated signals on a subscriber line includes a hybrid network for eliminating near-end echos. The hybrid network includes a hybrid input, a receive input, and a hybrid output. The receive input is capacitively coupled to a subscriber line carrying an upstream data signal and a downstream data signal. The hybrid input is capacitively coupled to receive the upstream data signal from a driver. The driver also provides the upstream data signal to the subscriber line. The hybrid output provides the extracted downstream data signal from the subscriber line. The hybrid network may be fabricated on an integrated circuit die. In one embodiment, the hybrid network is a complementary metal oxide semiconductor integrated circuit.

  • Publication number: 20050074816
Abstract: A method and algorithm for identifying a protein sequence from mass spectral data combines peptide spectrum matching analysis or spectrum comparison approaches and de novo sequencing approaches. The algorithm of the invention identifies peptide sequences determined independently by each approach, then compares the results and assigns a score reflecting the “goodness” of the match with a full-length protein sequence. Because peptides are identified using independent approaches, the probability of a correct match is increased.

  • Patent number: 6812744
Abstract: An apparatus for interfacing an integrated circuit with external circuitry includes a transistor having an emitter coupled to a node for receiving a control current (IP) from the integrated circuit. A beta compensator disposed within the integrated circuit provides a compensating current (IM) to the node. The compensating current IM is proportional to a base current (IB) of the transistor. A method of interfacing the integrated circuit with external circuitry includes the step of providing the control current (IP) from the integrated circuit to a node coupled to a transistor emitter. A compensating current (IM) is provided to the node in response to the transistor base current (IB). The net node current provided to the emitter is IP+IB so that the transistor collector current is substantially the same as the control current. The transistor collector is coupled to the external circuitry.

  • Patent number: 6390303
Abstract: A method for optimising a mineral recovery process. A slurry 10 is fed to a conditioning step 20. The condition slurry 30 is then provided to a flotation circuit 40 to recover a concentrate 50. The remainder of the slurry is then rejected as tail 60 or passed for further processing. The present invention provides apparatus for analysing a sample stream 100 of the slurry. A sample stream 100 is provided to an analysis device 200 which treats the sample with an oxidising gas similar to the oxidative treatment 20. Several parameters are measured before and/or after the oxidative treatment of the slurry. The flotability characteristic of the slurry is then determined as a function of the measured parameter(s). The result is used to optimise mineral recovery. This apparatus can be used intermittently or continuously to provide on-going optimisation of the mineral recovery circuit.
