Abstract: The present invention relates to a positive electrode for a secondary battery to improve stability during overcharge, and a lithium secondary battery including the same, and particularly, to a positive electrode for a secondary battery including a positive electrode active material layer formed on a positive electrode collector, wherein the positive electrode active material layer has a double-layer structure which includes a first positive electrode active material layer formed on the positive electrode collector and a second positive electrode active material layer formed on the first positive electrode active material layer, the first positive electrode active material layer includes a first positive electrode active material, a conductive agent, and a gas generating agent generating gas during overcharge, and the second positive electrode active material layer includes a second positive electrode active material, and a lithium secondary battery including the same.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel compound and a composition for the prevention, alleviation or treatment of fibrosis or non-alcoholic steatohepatitis, which contains the compound as an active ingredient, and more particularly to a novel compound of Formula 1, which has an excellent effect on the prevention, alleviation or treatment of fibrosis, and to a composition for the prevention, alleviation or treatment of fibrosis or non-alcoholic steatohepatitis, which contains the compound as an active ingredient. The novel compound can regulate the activation of EMT (epithelial-mesenchymal transition) by effectively regulating the expression of snail and vimentin which are regulators of EMT, and thus can effectively prevent, alleviate or treat fibrosis. Furthermore, the novel compound has very good pharmacokinetics. In addition, the novel compound of the present invention can effectively inhibit fibrosis of liver cells, and thus can also effectively alleviate or treat non-alcoholic steatohepatitis.

A flat area portion of the external substrate that is in contact with a lower face of the encapsulating member is smaller than a flat area portion of the external substrate that is not in contact with the lower face of the encapsulating member.

A proposed automatic hair implanter (hair transplantation device) comprises a rotating magazine therein, and several needle modules are stored in the magazine. Two pushrods, which are positioned on a rear portion of the device and capable of translational motion, play a role of pushing a needle and a shaft, which constitute a needle module, forward. The needle and the shaft may be moved backward by a spring positioned inside the magazine.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel acylating agent, a method for its preparation, and a method of using it for acylating one or more amino groups of an amino acid, a peptide, or a protein. The novel acylating agent may be a compound which comprises a structural element —HN—(CH2)2-(O—((CH2)2)k-O—(CH2)n-CO—, wherein k is an integer in the range of 1-10, and n is an integer in the range of 1-2, being esterified at its —CO-end to the hydroxy group of 3,5-dichloro-2-hydroxy-benzenesulfonic acid (3,5-DC-2-HBSA). This novel acylating agent has an improved stability. Using this agent the acylation process is improved as regards robustness, as well as improving yield and overall production economy. The novel acylating agent is useful for acylating pharmaceutical peptides and proteins such as GLP-1, insulin, pYY, and amylin. The invention also relates to a number of novel GLP-1 precursor peptides and derivatives in which the two N-terminal amino acids have been deleted.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a heat insulation composition, containing aerogel, with improved heat insulation and soundproofing properties, and a method for manufacturing a heat insulation fabric by using the same. The heat insulation composition is prepared by mixing solvent, aerogel powder, adhesive binder and carbon black powder, thereby improving the heat insulation property at an extremely low temperature and at a high temperature, and also enhancing the soundproofing property.
