  • Patent number: 11349622
Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a method and a system for transmitting DFT-s-OFDM symbols. A data sequence for transmitting as an OFDM symbol is received as input from a data source. A reference sequence for transmitting along with the data sequence as the OFDM symbol is generated and time-multiplexed with the data sequence, to generate a multiplied sequence. Thereafter, a Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) operation is performed on the multiplexed sequence to generate a DFT-spread-Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (DFT-s-OFDM) symbol that is further processed for transmitting over a channel. The transmission of the reference sequence and the data sequence in a single OFDM symbol provides better bandwidth utilization and flexibility in modulation of the reference sequence and the data sequence.

  • Publication number: 20220164456
Abstract: For a host that executes one or more guest virtual machines (GVMs), some embodiments provide a novel encryption method for encrypting the data messages sent by the GVMs. The method initially receives a data message to send for a GVM executing on the host. The method then determines whether it should encrypt the data message based on a set of one or more encryption rules. When the process determines that it should encrypt the received data message, it encrypts the data message and forwards the encrypted data message to its destination; otherwise, the method just forwards the received data message unencrypted to its destination. In some embodiments, the host encrypts differently the data messages for different GVMs that execute on the host.

  • Patent number: 11334651
Abstract: A user provides an identification (ID) signal (e.g. a biometric ID signal like a self-snapshot) to a trusted cloud-based provider. When the user attempts to authenticate with the cloud-based provider, a similar ID signal (e.g. another self-snapshot) for the user is captured and provided to the cloud-based provider. The cloud-based provider then obtains a secondary ID signal, or a combination of secondary ID signals, and utilizes the secondary ID signal, or signals, to identify a subset of user records to be searched for the ID signal. The subset of the records, rather than all of the user records, can then be searched for the ID signal. The cloud-based provider can then authenticate the user based on the results of the search of the subset of the user records.
