  • Patent number: 11489707
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a method and system to generate a waveform in a communication network. The transmitter receives an input data and transmit a generated waveform to another communication system. The input data is spread with a spread code to generate a spread data and rotated using a constellation rotation operation to produce a rotated data. The rotated data is then precoded using precoding filter to produce a precoded data, and transformed into DFT output data using DFT operation. The DFT output data is then mapped with subcarriers to generate the sub-carrier mapped DFT data and modulated using Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) modulation to generate the waveform with low PAPR.

  • Patent number: 11487439
Abstract: Storage devices include a memory array which stores host data received from a host computing device. During normal operations, the storage device may encounter a fatal error which can halt functionality. To restore functionality without system disconnection or third-party interventions, the storage device can store recovery data within a host memory buffer prior to encountering a fatal error. The recovery data can be replay protected memory data and/or firmware recovery data that can be written to the host memory buffer upon power on or during a firmware update. When a fatal error occurs, the recovery data can be accessed to try and rebuild file and mapping systems to restore full operation of the storage device. When full operational restoration is not possible, host data can at least be copied from the storage device prior to utilizing firmware recovery data to restore the storage device to an erased but functional state.

  • Patent number: 11483046
Abstract: Techniques for transmitting channel state information (CSI) are described. In an example, a device determines a condition associated with a link parameter of a link between the device and another device. Based at least in part on the condition, the device determines a CSI packet period. The device transmits, to the other device and based at least in part on the CSI packet period, a CSI packet over the link. Accordingly, when the conditions change, the CSI packet period can be adapted to the changes, thereby improving the CSI transmissions over the link given the most current conditions.

  • Publication number: 20220337369
Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a method and a system for transmitting DFT-s-OFDM symbols. A data sequence for transmitting as an OFDM symbol is received as input from a data source. A reference sequence for transmitting along with the data sequence as the OFDM symbol is generated and time-multiplexed with the data sequence, to generate a multiplexed sequence. Thereafter, a Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) operation is performed on the multiplexed sequence to generate a DFT-spread-Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (DFT-s-OFDM) symbol that is further processed for transmitting over a channel. The transmission of the reference sequence and the data sequence in a single OFDM symbol provides better bandwidth utilization and flexibility in modulation of the reference sequence and the data sequence.

  • Publication number: 20220321561
Abstract: A communal computing device, such as an interactive digital whiteboard, can become unlocked if a user is near the device. The communal computing device may use a sensor such as a camera to capture images of a person and obtain an identifier from a personal device such as a smartphone. A cloud-based provider that is trusted by both the communal computing device and the personal device may associate both the image and the identifier of the personal device with the same user identity. Obtaining the user identity from multiple, different sources provides a secure technique for the communal computing device to recognize a user without the user directly interacting with the communal computing device. If the sensor no longer detects the user or the personal device is no longer detected, then the communal computing device may log off the user. The personal device may be used to confirm log off.
