  • Patent number: 10774399
Abstract: Grinding aid compositions comprising hydrolyzed starches, such as dextrin, maltodextrin or corn syrup solids. The grinding aid compositions are typically added to various mineral ore slurries prior to grinding operations to affect the rheology characteristics of the mineral ore slurries.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 9, 2014
Date of Patent: September 15, 2020
    Assignee: SOLENIS TECHNOLOGIES, L.P.
Inventors: Kirill Bakeev, Andrew M DiMaio, Zoha Al-Badri
  • Publication number: 20160130488
Abstract: A method of stabilizing an aggregate substrate comprising applying to the upper surface of the substrate an aqueous composition comprising carboxymethylcellulose having a low degree of substitution. The aqueous composition comprising carboxymethylcellulose will suppress dust generation, repel water, inhibit water seepage and retard erosion.

  • Publication number: 20140011946
Abstract: A stabilizer composition comprising an AB type polymer for use in increasing Open Time of aqueous coating compositions is disclosed. The stabilizers compositions are of utility in many aqueous compositions including paints, stains, varnishes, adhesives and inks. Of particular interest is the use of the stabilizer compositions for in increasing the Open Time of latex paints as well as alkyd emulsion paints.

  • Publication number: 20060134047
Abstract: A conditioning composition is used in functional systems (personal care and household care compositions) that has a nonionic hydrophobically modified cellulose ether (HMCE) having a weight average molecular weight (Mw) with a lower limit of 400,000 and an upper limit of 2,000,000 and a hydrophobic substitution lower limit of 0.6 wt % and an upper limit amount which renders said cellulose ether insoluble in a 5 wt % solution of surfactant and less than 0.05% by weight soluble in water and wherein the cellulose ether provides conditioning benefit to the functional system substrate. This composition has at least one active functional system ingredient.

  • Publication number: 20060128846
Abstract: An aqueous dispersion includes an associative thickener based on a hydrophobically modified poly(acetal- or ketal-polyether) (HM-PAPE) and at least one viscosity reducing agent selected from ethoxylated alcohols, ethoxylated acetyleneic diols, phosphate esters, dialkyl sulfosuccinates, and mixtures thereof. This aqueous dispersion improves the incorporation of the HM-PAPEs into aqueous based protective coatings. This dispersion also improves water-borne coating compositions that optionally contain latex.

  • Publication number: 20050150418
Abstract: A synthetic polymer has a water-soluble or water-swellable polymer backbone and terminal groups and/or intermediate groups of blocks of hydrophobes of alkyl- or aryl compounds containing a polymerizable cyclic monomer or a polymerizable double bond (or alkene) group or derivatives thereof. The blocks of hydrophobes are composed of two or more units of the same or different hydrophobes. These synthetic polymers are used as rheology modifiers, especially in latex paints.
