  • Publication number: 20220184859
Abstract: Methods for forming large molded objects from polyurea coatings that are exceptionally durable, rigid and strong enough to remain intact under all conditions involving structural integrity, even without structural reinforcements. Such methods comprise providing a mold or substrate surface onto which the molded object will be formed. A first gelcoat layer is formed upon the mold, upon which is formed a second epoxy/polyurea coating, followed by a third polyurea coating mixed with chopped fiberglass, and a final fourth epoxy/polyurea coating. The combined coatings are allowed to cure and then removed from the mold. Such methods are exceptionally effective in the manufacture of pools and spas.

  • Publication number: 20210402421
Abstract: A fluidic oscillator includes an inlet portion configured to be engageable with a source of pressurized fluid. An oscillating portion is coupled to the inlet portion and includes a central chamber, a pair of side passageways in fluid communication with the central chamber, and an outlet disposed about a central axis. The pair of side passageways are positioned on opposite sides of the central axis, with each side passageway having a feedback inlet that receives fluid from the central passageway and a feedback outlet that returns fluid to the central passageway, with the feedback outlet being positioned between the feedback inlet and the inlet portion. The oscillating portion is configured such that, fluid fills the pair of side passageways in an alternating sequence, which results in fluid exiting the outlet at varying angles relative to the central axis.

  • Publication number: 20130014321
Abstract: A multi-functional therapy pool for use in physical rehabilitation, strengthening exercises and recreational purposes. The multi-functional therapy pool preferably has a generally rectangular shape wherein one side of the pool is provided with patient entry means and a seating area adjacent thereto. The remaining three sides of the pool are preferably provided with a continuous overflow gutter formed upon the upper periphery that is operative to catch splashes and minimize waves during physical activity within the pool. A number of therapeutic modalities will further be integrated within the pool, including spa jets, integrated underwater treadmill, and specialized hand rails to facilitate access in and out of the pool.

  • Patent number: 7908682
Abstract: A pool shell molding system that enables accessories such as tables, chairs, parasols, basketball rims, and volleyball nets to be selectively and easily attached and removed. The pre-formed mold includes a recessed section with an outer edge that contacts and grips the various pool accessories. The depth of the recess is reduced by including a lip section extending from the bottom of the pool accessory, forming a contact and seal with the pool shell. Additionally, the pre-formed mold also includes an extended section with an outer edge that contacts and is gripped by the various pool accessories. The pre-formed mold can also secure a pole structure that includes a pole and a base member attached to the pole that facilitates a flexing locking relationship with the pool surface.

  • Publication number: 20090151066
Abstract: A prefabricated swimming pool and spa combination for in-ground installation. The integrated pool/spa combination comprises a swimming pool that has a contiguous vertical perimeter pool wall. The pool wall forms the periphery or boundary of the swimming pool. Additionally, the pool wall forms the swimming pool enclosure. The swimming pool also includes a bottom surface. The bottom surface is engaged to the pool wall. The bottom surface of the swimming pool and the pool wall form the shape of the pool. The present invention also includes a spa integrated within the swimming pool. In particular, the spa is disposed within the swimming pool. The spa is circumscribed by the pool wall. The spa includes a contiguous vertical perimeter spa wall. The spa wall forms the spa enclosure. The spa wall is engaged to the bottom surface of the swimming pool. The spa is engaged in a way such that the pool wall has no common boundary with the spa wall.

  • Publication number: 20090070925
Abstract: A heated seating system for integration within an in-ground pool is provided that selectively channels heated water from a source of heated water directly through one or more seating structures disposed within the pool. Heated water is selectively channeled to thus distribute the heated water through the seating about where individuals are designed to sit and/or recline. The seating areas receiving the heated water may be integrally formed with the pool or otherwise may be detachable therefrom. The seating may also be utilized with both fiberglass and concrete pools.
