CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATION

This application claims the benefit of U.S. Provisional Patent Application Ser. No. 61/650,611, filed on May 23, 2012, the contents of which are herein incorporated by reference in their entirety.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to an inflatable cushion that is structured with a non-slip top and bottom in the shape and size of a pillow.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The present invention is directed to an inflatable cushion structured with a non-slip top and bottom, in the shape and size of a pillow. The cushion contains specialized internal gusset sections to provide an even inflation thereby avoiding ballooning.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is a top view of the cushion;

FIG. 2 is an internal side view for an image of the internal gusset design; and

FIG. 3 shows the pillow in an existing case.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

According to an embodiment of the present invention, an inflatable cushion is structured with a non-slip top and bottom (see FIG. 1 for a top view), in the shape and size of a pillow, along with specialized internal gusset sections to provide even inflation and to avoid ballooning. See FIG. 2 (Internal Side View) for an image of the internal gusset design (see FIG. 3 for a view of the internal gusset structure). The inflatable cushion is to supplement existing pillow products, through insertion into a pillow case below the existing pillow product (see Fig C). The cushion is usable for providing a variable level of support, essentially allowing the user to adjust any pillow to a comfortable height and firmness. The cushion can also be used standalone.

In general, the foregoing description is provided for exemplary and illustrative purposes; the present invention is not necessarily limited thereto. Rather, those skilled in the art will appreciate that additional modifications, as well as adaptations for particular circumstances, will fall within the scope of the invention as herein shown and described.
