    Abstract: A pneumatic tire comprises a tread portion in which an annular anti-adhesive sheet is embedded along the inside of the tire, the annular anti-adhesive sheet made of a material which does not firmly adhere to the adjacent rubber so as to form a bag-like portion as an unbonded part extending continuously in the tire circumferential direction, the bag-like portion filled with a self-sealing material for self-sealing punctures, the anti-adhesive sheet having circumferential ends being spliced, and in the spliced portion, at least one of the circumferential ends disposed radially inwards of the other circumferential end has an edge inclined at an angle of from 30 to 60 degrees with respect to the widthwise direction of the anti-adhesive sheet. In a method of manufacturing the pneumatic tire, the step of building a green tire includes a step of embedding the anti-adhesive sheet; and after the tire is vulcanized, the self-sealing material is injected into the bag-like portion.

    Abstract: A tire and rim assembly including a flanged rim and a tubeless tire with 15.degree. taper bead parts. The tire includes a carcass having a main body portion extending from a tread part through sidewall parts to the bead parts and turned up portions each turned up around a bead core of the bead part from axially inside to outside. In each bead part, a first reinforcement layer of steel cords and a second reinforcement layer of steel cords are provided. The first reinforcement layer has an inside part extending along the inside surface in the axial direction of the body portion, and an outside part contiguous to the inside part and extending along the outside surface in the axial direction of the turned up portion. The second reinforcement layer extends from a radial position substantially level with the bead heel end and is interposed between the inside part and the main body portion along the main body portion so as to form an overlapping portion with the inside part.

The groove wall of the main groove (4) has hill protrusions (6) each having an inclined groove wall part (5) extending from the external angle portion (M) of the zigzag groove bottom to the outer groove upper edge line (M1).
