  • Patent number: 4955416
Abstract: A pneumatic radial tire having a new carcass profile, which is characterized in that a radius TR1 of the radially expansive tread surface produced when the tire is mounted on the rim officially specified for use and inflated with air having 5% pressure of the specified maximum pressure, and another radius TR2 of curvature produced when the tire is inflated with air of the specified maximum pressure always satisfy the relation of 1.2.ltoreq.TR2/TR1.ltoreq.1.5. An above-mentioned radius of curvature increase with increasing air pressure.

  • Patent number: 4878526
Abstract: A radial tire having a tread provided with a plurality of circumferential grooves extending circumferentially of the tire to form a rib pattern thereon, said tread having lateral side portions, each having a width of 10 to 35% of the tread width extending from each edge thereof, said side portions being provided with sipes arranged at intervals of 8 to 20 mm in the circumferential direction of the tire, said sipes each comprising a main portion inclined with respect to the axial direction of the tire at an angle of 5 to 25 degrees and an outer portion located axially outward of said main portion and extending axially at an angle of not more than 5 degrees to the axial direction of the tire, the axial length of said outer portion of each sipe being not more than 10% of the tread width and being not more than 50% of the axial length of the sipe.

  • Patent number: 4703788
Abstract: A heavy duty pneumatic tire having a tread provided on its outer surface with at least one circumferential groove. On the groove wall multiple projecting blocks are provided at an interval between the adjoining projecting blocks in the circumferential direction corresponding to 10-50% of the circumferential length of the projecting block and between the projecting blocks on the opposite groove walls a narrower groove is formed circumferentially having the open groove width corresponding to 5-50% of the open groove width of the above mentioned wider circumferential groove.

  • Patent number: 4367187
Abstract: In a blow molding process in which a parison is blown to form an article which is then cooled and recovered, a liquified gas is introduced into the interior of partially blown article where it becomes vaporized and causes the completion of the blowing step as well as to cool the article. A mixture of the blowing gas and vaporized liquified gas is recovered and recycled for use as the blowing gas in a subsequent blow molding step.
