The workflow process includes a sequence of tasks to be performed by one or more individuals. The interface processor receives a message indicating an occurrence of a performance deficiency in a workflow process. The data processor stores records in a repository in response to the received message. The records include data representing current workflow context information and information identifying the performance deficiency. The analyzer analyzes the data in the record identifying the performance deficiency to support improvement of the workflow process.

Abstract: A patient information system for the provision of individual-specific information on the effects and risks of a medicament includes an expert system, in which relevant data on the medicament, for example, compositions, application area, contra-indications, mode of action, risks and side-effects are stored. The expert system is embodied such that, on a user inquiry about a particular medicament by inputting particular personal status data about the user, an individual user information reply, which matches the personal status data including the education and the knowledge state of the user—(a personalized enclosure) is generated including all relevant data, and excluding data on the medicament which need not be introduced according to the special requirements of the user.

Abstract: The invention relates to a device for uncovering counter-indications in case of limited access to patient data. According to the invention, an expert system, which has access to patient data in different patient files and/or with different doctors or clinics, checks off an actual treatment plan for counter-indications of old patient data and without the need to disclose said patient data informs the patient and/or the doctor concerned of the presence of the counter-indications.

Abstract: A volumetric flow of an analyte, including exhaled air, is fed to a gas sensor unit by used of gas flow device, which can include various sensors for the determination of nitrogen oxides. An oxidation catalyst is used when using an NO2 sensor, which converts nitrogen monoxide to nitrogen dioxide and the gas sensor unit measures the content of nitrogen dioxide. The nitrogen monoxide content is calculated from the nitrogen dioxide content. In order to eliminate cross-sensitivity moisture and ethanol are also measured. The device can be applied to the determination of nitrogen monoxide content of exhaled air.

Abstract: A method and a system are for supporting therapy planning in rehabilitation in the presence of multiple deficits and are also for therapy planning for chronic illnesses in the presence of further illness-dependent restrictions. The method involves a capability or illness profile for a patient and also at least one first database being provided. The first database containes a plurality of therapy modules and/or treatable capabilities and also minimum prerequisites, associated with the therapy modules or treatable capabilities, for implementing the respective therapy modules or treating the respective treatable capabilities. A data processing station automatically compares the patient's capability or illness profile with the minimum prerequisites by accessing the first database and, on the basis of the comparison, advises a user of one or more suitable therapy modules and/or suitable treatable capabilities for which the minimum prerequisites are satisfied.

Abstract: Patient data for a patient are recorded which include measured values for measured variables relating to implementation and/or for quantification of interim results for a training program completed by the patient. In addition, a first database is provided which contains rules for linking patient data to proposals for modifying training programs. A first or a second data processing station automatically generates one or more proposals for modifying or retaining the training program completed by the patient by reverting to the first database, and outputs it/them to the first or to a further data processing station. The present method and the associated system reduce the workload and time taken for a treating physician or therapist when modifying a training program during rehabilitation.

The first database contains a plurality of past comparative capability profiles for comparative patients and an allocation of training programs respectively prescribed on the basis of these comparative capability profiles. A data processing station automatically compares the patient's capability profile with the comparative capability profiles and selects and displays from the first database, one or more suitable training programs for which the associated comparative capability profile matches the patient's capability profile to a prescribable degree of similarity. The method and the associated system make it easier for the physician or therapist to select an individual training program.

Abstract: In a method and system for monitoring the posture of a user during the use of a training apparatus, sensors are attached to the body of the user and possibly to specific locations of the training apparatus for acquiring specific kinematic parameters. The measurement data acquired by these sensors is analyzed in an evaluating unit in order to detect a faulty motion or posture of the user during the use of the training apparatus and to emit a corresponding acknowledging message to the user or to the training apparatus in this case.

In the method, at least one treatment objective is defined at a first data processing station and a calculation rule is provided for the success of treatment of the therapy, the calculation rule indicating the success of treatment as a function of recordable numerical measures. Furthermore, a second data processing station is provided for the automated recording and transmission of the numerical measures describing the success of treatment to the first data processing station. At the start of the therapy, the initial state of the patient with respect to the treatment objective is recorded using first numerical measures. The method involves a capability profile, including a plurality of capability deficits, for a patient at the start of a therapy and/or information about therapy modules prescribed for the patients in the course of therapy being provided from a database. Each of the capability deficits and/or therapy modules is automatically assigned one or more organization units by using a second database which contains, for a plurality of capability deficits and/or therapy modules, a fixed link to organization units providing therapy.
