Publication number: 20080172249Abstract: A system and method may generate a radiological request by which to conduct a radiological procedure that employs a series of procedural steps to acquire internal images of a patient. Each step may have a corresponding protocol item which affects image quality and the time required to complete the step. A database may be maintained that includes protocol items and patient characteristic data. A rule-based algorithm may accept patient characteristic data as input. Based upon one or more patient characteristics, an overall protocol by which to conduct the radiological procedure may be determined. The tailored protocol may include steps that are selected, omitted, and/or altered based upon a patient characteristic. The patient characteristics may be medical restrictions, such as age, pregnancy, allergies, artificial joints, or other limitations. As a result, the protocol items may be automatically selected based upon patient specific characteristics, and/or an anatomical structure to be examined.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 17, 2007Publication date: July 17, 2008Inventors: Karlheinz Glaser-Seidnitzer, Mike Muller, Klaus Mayer

Patent number: 6468578Abstract: Butterlike spread not containing a substantial amount of butter fat which is prepared starting from a concentrated vegetable fat cream. The surface average, size (D3.2) of the fat droplets of the cream being 3-7 &mgr;m ensures stability of the supercooled cream, so that it enters with a substantially liquid fat phase the inversion unit, whereafter the major part of the fat crystallizes after the emulsion has left the inversion unit and preferably under quiescent conditions. The cream is processed in a spread production line which comprises a device for making a O/W-emulsion with the necessary small fat droplets, a pasteurizer, a tubular heat exchanger and, as sole working, a cavity transfer mixer, which brings about the inversion.Type: GrantFiled: November 20, 2000Date of Patent: October 22, 2002Assignee: Lipton, division of Conopco, Inc.Inventors: Janos Bodor, Michael Erdl, Klaus Mayer, Karel Vermaat

Patent number: 5235175Abstract: To detect the light energy of the light-emitting elements of a character generator of an electrophotographic printer via a photoelement (FE), the light-emitting elements are activated during the measuring process in such a manner that each element emits a sequence, associated with the element, of light pulses, having the same radiant energy and a predetermined pulse frequency. The output signals of the photoelement (FE) are supplied to an active low-pass filter (V3) which forms from these a mean value which is used as a measure of the radiant energy of the light-emitting elements during the calibration process. To reduce the influence of low-frequency interference (mains voltage), a gated potential control unit is provided. The arrangement is used in an exposure energy/correction device for the optical character generator of an electrophotographic printer.Type: GrantFiled: December 4, 1991Date of Patent: August 10, 1993Assignee: Siemens AktiengesellschaftInventor: Klaus Mayer
