Abstract: Illustrated and described is an arrangement for leading a cable into a housing, preferably a cylindrical housing, for electrical or electronic devices. The housing is provided with a cylindrical housing part made detachably for connection of the connection cable. The housing part is divided into two parts, the lead-in sleeve 4 and a cap 3 covering the electrical connection elements. The cap 3 is connected by means of a connection part 10 to the housing 2 in the interior of which the electronic components are accommodated. The cap 3 is supported by axial portions of the connection part 10 and withdrawable from the latter in axial direction. The arresting is done by means of a spring element 21 which engages into a groove 22 of the connection part 10. Further grooves 26 which are arranged at the periphery of the inner wall 19 of the cap 3 and into which a right parallelepipedic protrusion 27 engages prevent turning of the cap 3 with respect to the housing 2.

Abstract: Thermoplastic polyamide molding materials containing impact resistance-providing additives, which are reinforced with glass fibers and are colored with dyes and pigments, comprise a mixture of components A and B.Component A comprises glass fiber-containing polyamide and component B comprises polyamide with impact resistance-providing additives and can also contain dyes, pigments, heat and light-stabilizers, as well as processing agents.Due to the separate addition of the glass fibers and the impact resistance-providing additives, pigments, etc. to the polyamide, the conventional reduction in mechanical properties, such as impact resistance and notch toughness, on the addition of all the other components to the polyamide, is surprisingly prevented.

Abstract: A fuel injection pump of the distributor type is proposed, in which the injection quantity is controlled by controlling the first outlet cross section D of a first relief line and the stroke-offset outlet C of a second relief line for the pump work chamber of the fuel injection pump by means of a control edge that is variable in accordance with load and/or rpm. To attain nonsupply of fuel within the intended supply stroke of the pump piston during idling and at low partial load, communication between the first and second relief lines is provided. The communication exists only for the duration of a predetermined stroke portion (h.sub.e) and is additionally controlled in accordance with load and/or rpm by controlling the following outlet of the second relief line, so that from a predetermined upper load range to full-load operation, the entire fuel quantity pumped by the pump piston over the effective supply stroke does in fact become injected.

Abstract: A portable hot-press for thermowelding marked and/or printed foils of thermoplastic synthetic material, particularly PVC, to produce single-sheet identification cards. There are provided a press drive, two heating plates, one fixed and one sliding cross bar on the press and a fan for cooling the heating plates and thermowelded foils. Two screw elevating gears, driven by a gearmotor are provided to guide and move the cross bar of the press. The gearmotor may have a retaining brake.

Abstract: In an hydraulic press, usable as a press for forming composite sheet material, with a press base, several vertical guides extending out of the press base and a cross head slidably arranged on the vertical guides, which cross head is hydraulically clampable to the vertical guides, with a slidable press plate and a press drive, wherein several long stroke hydraulic cylinders are provided for adjusting the cross head and several short stroke hydraulic cylinders create the stroke of the press plate. The vertical guides and the cross head are made with several guide laminations clampable together in order to realize a guide and coupling system at small construction expense.

Abstract: An hydraulic press for pressing plastic mats reinforced with glass fibers into formed parts, which press has a stationary and a slidable cross-piece as well as a press drive which drive for driving the slidable cross-piece has at least one adjusting cylinder with a stroke length corresponding to the working range of the press and at least two couplable press cylinders of short stroke wherein for coupling each press cylinder to the slidable cross-piece a coupling rod and a clamping means is provided, the press being distinguished in that in order to better accomodate incorporation of the press drive into an existing press, each press cylinder has a hollow lifting body through which an associated coupling rod is guided, and for coupling the lifting body to the associated coupling rod a clamping device is included on the lifting body.

Abstract: In a press an hydraulic adjusting cylinder connected to the slidable cross-piece of the press has a stroke matching the range of movement of the press and a number of hydraulic press cylinders of short stroke are provided for executing the working strokes of the press. The press cylinders are each couplable to the slidable cross-piece by a coupling including a coupling rod and a stationary clamping jaw and a pressable clamping jaw cooperating with the coupling rod, the pressable clamping jaw being activated by at least one single acting hydraulic cylinder.

Abstract: A cleaning cloth is described which is made from microfibers having a nonporous fiber core surrounded by a foamed coating layer containing open celled pores. The microfibers may optionally be combined with other types of fibers. The cloth has a high capacity for holding dirt and in another application, a detergent, bacteriocide, fungicide or preservative can be contained in the pores to provide a combination cleaning cloth.

Abstract: A tool support for turning annular grooves of inwardly increasing cross-section in workpieces, has a carrier, a tool clamping rod rotatably and axially shiftable in the carrier, and machining tools carried by the rod and having an effective length which is shorter than the cross-sectional opening of the groove at the workpiece surface.

Abstract: A filter packing of electrostatically spray formed microfibers, the structure of which is a foamed coating layer containing open cell pores completely surrounding a nonporous fiber core. The pores extend perpendicularly through the foamed coating and have a substantially uniform distribution in cross section. The foamed coating and the fiber core are made of the same polymer composition.

Abstract: An electromechanical filling level measuring apparatus for the intermittent measurement of the filling level in a container with the help of a measuring tape that is wound on a spool driven by an electric motor and to the lower end of which a sensing weight is secured. Switching means are provided for the reversal and for the switching off of the electric motor that respond respectively when the sensing weight encounters the surface of the filling medium during paying-out of the measuring tape and when an upper limiting position is reached during the winding-in of the measuring tape. A detector device determines and indicates the length of the measuring tape paid out or wound in.

Abstract: A portable grill device of the type including a first bowl and a second bowl hingedly connected together. The bowls are movable between a closure position where the bowls overlie one another, a generally right angular use position where the second bowl is disposed substantially normal to the first bowl, and a generally horizontal use position where the first bowl and second bowl are fully opened. Novel leg bail structure is provided that offers three-legged support to both bowls when the bowls are in the horizontal use position, and that offers a support base substantially wider than the width of the first bowl when the second bowl is in the generally right angular use position relative to the first bowl. Further, the portable grill device includes novel latch structure which retains the two bowls in the generally right angular position, that latch structure cooperating with spit holder arms for restraining those spit holder arms in an elevated position over the first bowl.

Abstract: A control apparatus for limiting the fuel supply quantity of a fuel injection pump for internal combustion engines such as Diesel engines or the like by means of which an automatically controlled additional starting quantity of fuel is variable in accordance with temperature which comprises a limit stop displaceable by the pressure of a control medium and connected with a control piston and including a starting detent which varies its position in accordance with temperature; the limit stop in its first terminal position being arranged to determine the starting setting and in its other terminal position under the control of the pressure of the control medium, being arranged to determine the full-load setting of the fuel supply quantity adjustment member of the injection pump, a starting setting for a warm engine being controlled by the starting detent which limits the starting setting to the full-load setting or below.

Abstract: An improved grill device having, in one preferred form, two coal boxes, each coal box being swingable on a horizontal axis between a generally horizontal position and a generally vertical position, the axes being parallel one to another. Novel box support structure is provided for easily locating either coal box in each of the horizontal and vertical positions as selected by the user. In the preferred form, the improved grill device includes a base plate and opposed side plates, the side plates being swingable relative to the base plate between an erect use position and an overlying storage position. A coal box swingable on a horizontal axis relative to the base plate is connected between the side plates when the side plates are erected. Novel box support structure cooperates with novel side plate support structure to maintain the side plates and coal box in the assembled and erect use position.

Abstract: A sheet material finished on at least one side with a coherent surface layer is formed by electrostatically spraying a solution or dispersion of plastics producing fibers from 0.1 to 30 microns in diameter. Then the mat is consolidated with heat and pressure, whereby the fibers form a tight bond with the surface of the support material which is thus finished.

Abstract: A nonwoven fabric having a smooth surface, especially for use as support material for semipermeable membranes, comprising a support mat into which at least one surface thereof, an open-structured, continuous covering layer of fine, thermoplastic particles is calendered.

Abstract: To provide for extended true running of the distributor shaft and prevent wear on relatively movable mechanical components within the distributor, such as a shaft and bearings, a centrifugal spark advance/retard mechanism, or the like, the relatively movable parts are included in the lubricating circuit of the engine, for example by being connected to the pressure lubrication system of the engine or located to be exposed to oil mist in the engine compartment and arising upon operation of the engine, so that the relatively movable parts are constantly lubricated by the engine lubricating system.

Abstract: An apparatus for use with a device for producing a suitable electric field to effect the electrodynamic spraying of solutions, dispersions, or mixtures of solids. The apparatus includes at least one spray station for spraying into a given spray zone. Each spray station includes two spaced apart tanks for holding the medium to be sprayed and which are disposed on both sides of the spray zone. An endless band is supported by pulleys disposed at each tank for circulating the band and constantly running a run thereof through the tanks. Squeegees are disposed at each tank to remove excess medium from the band and inlet and outlet connections in each tank effect a desired level of the medium therein.

Abstract: A template to form the characters to be written is placed between the light source and the record carrier. The template is formed as a light-switching mask the switching elements of which can be controlled by a character generator. The switching elements may be arranged separately beside each other or in matrix form in accordance with the fact whether the characters are to be written per line or per page. Printing in color is also possible. The optical printer combines the functions of a printer, a picture memory and a display.
