  • Publication number: 20070048469
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing multi-layered containers from a thermoplastic material (10), said containers being used to store and transport liquid fillers, especially combustible or explosive fillers, and a plastic container produced using said method. The inventive containers are provided with a thin, permanently electrostatically non-chargeable or electric charge-draining outer layer. According to the invention, the permanently electrostatically non-chargeable or electric charge-draining properties of the outer layer are created by adding a defined quantity of a specific compound based on a polymer to the base plastic material of the outer layer and incorporating the same into the plastic material, and the outer layer is thin so that the transparency or translucency of the compounded outer layer is either not affected, or only slightly affected, such that the filling level of a liquid poured into the container remains optically identifiable without taking any other measures.

  • Publication number: 20070017516
Abstract: An intubation hose, a supply regulator and a supply reservoir of a predetermined gas such as xenon, a gas mixing chamber connected to the supply regulator and the supply reservoir, and a selection element that separates the predetermined gas from other gases or separates other gases from the predetermined gas may be combined to form a respirator. The respirator delivers the predetermined gas supplied from the reservoir to a mixing chamber where the predetermined gas mixes with other gases that are then provided to a consumer such as a patient. Afterwards, the predetermined gas is at least partially recovered through the use of selection element. This recovery allows the recovered predetermined gas to be reused which substantially reduces the cost of operating the respirator.

  • Patent number: 6735934
Abstract: A process and device for texturing a thread within a false twist texturing device with a heat exchanger having thread passages formed by thread passage segments. The heat exchanger possesses a first section and a second section which form a chamber into which a fluid can flow to treat a thread during operation of the heat exchanger. The first and second sections of the heat exchanger can be manipulated to enlarge the thread passages to facilitate insertion of the thread. After the thread insertion, the heat exchanger is sealable in such a manner that the thread passages seal around the thread to prevent leakage of the fluid from the chamber while allowing the thread to be movable through the heat exchanger.

  • Patent number: 6192673
Abstract: A method for improving the exhaust gas emissions of an internal combustion engine having an exhaust gas catalyst, wherein the exhaust gas catalyst is heated after starting the internal combustion engine. Regulation of the power output is performed by the generator or generators during the warm-up phase of the exhaust gas catalyst. The power output of the generator or generators is regulated such that this power output is reduced during a period of time until the exhaust gas catalyst has reached a specific minimum temperature.

  • Patent number: 6178246
Abstract: Noise generated by a noise radiating surface is actively suppressed by at least two axially sensitive noise sensors which produce a control signal for controlling a noise suppression actuator. The sensors integrate the sensed signal in an axially selective manner. The at least two sensors are sensing the signal in two directions which preferably cross each other orthogonally. The control signal activates the actuator in such a way that the actuator counteracts deflections or vibrations of the noise generating surface such as a vehicle body wall.

  • Patent number: 6029511
Abstract: The invention provides a method for detecting the wheel rpm values of the nondriven and the driven wheels and for comparing them with one another in order to improve vehicle stability, for example when the driving torque of the engine is too high. A friction clutch located between the drive motor and the wheels in the drive train is disengaged when the rpm of the driven wheels is less than the rpm of the nondriven wheels and the difference between the two wheel rpm values exceeds a given limiting value. The friction clutch is re-engaged when the difference between the two wheel rpm values reaches or falls below a second limiting value.

  • Patent number: 5988774
Abstract: A hydraulic brake system for a vehicle with an anti-lock arrangement operable by wheel brake pressures are individually variable in front wheel brakes and rear wheel brakes, connected to diagonal brake circuits, of a four-wheeled vehicle, in order to reduce or eliminate a threat of wheel locking. The anti-lock arrangement has at least one return pump per brake circuit. The anti-lock arrangement is equipped with a total of four electrically controllable valves. In each of the brake circuits I, II there is one first valve between the master cylinder and a front wheel brake and one second valve between the master cylinder and the rear wheel brake. All the valves are embodied as normally open valves and are electrically closable. Inlets of each of the return pumps communicate directly with the respective front wheel brakes and indirectly with the rear wheel brakes through throttles. Check valves that open toward the inlets of the return pumps are provided in series with the throttles.
