  • Publication number: 20110268570
Abstract: A wind turbine system is presented. The wind turbine system includes a blade comprising an airfoil and a sensing device disposed on a surface of the airfoil, wherein the sensing device generates signals that are representative of pressure deflection on the surface of the airfoil. The wind turbine system further comprises a processing subsystem that receives location details of the sensing device and a transfer function corresponding to the airfoil, determines a location of a stagnation point on the surface of the airfoil based upon the signals and the location details, and determine an angle of attack (AOA) on the surface of the airfoil based upon the location of the stagnation point and the transfer function.

  • Publication number: 20110121072
Abstract: An authorization system (10) includes a reader (1) for a reader-card interaction (92) with a card (2), and a logic module configured to assign the reader (1) and the card (2) to each other and to make operable the reader-card interaction (92) based on authorization data comprising reader data and card data. The logic module is further configured to read via a non-contact interface (12.1) device data from an authorization storage device (5) and to assign the reader (1) to the card (2) based on the device data for making operable the reader-card interaction (92). The authorization storage device (5) is arranged spaced apart from the non-contact interface (12.1) at an essentially fixed distance (9), for example during the reader-device interaction (95). • Publication number: 20100200483
Abstract: In a rotary brush screen at an overflow sill of a rainwater relief system, comprising screen bars extending transverse to the overflow sill and strippers engaging in the screen bars in a comb-like manner, the strippers are put into a curvilinearly extending, circling movement via a crank drive in accordance with the invention by means of an actuating lever in cooperation with a stationary support bearing, due to which circling movement the strippers are guided from above into the spaces between the screen bars and out again at the bottom of the overflow sill. The risk of the discharge of solids into the waters as a result of a mechanical influence on the solids during the stripping operation is reduced thereby and the operational safety is increased.

  • Patent number: 7631187
Abstract: With the method, mobile data carriers (IM) are initialized at assigned decentralized read and write stations (WR) within the framework of an authorization system (A). At an authorization authority (HA) in a secure environment (g) initialization data (DI, A-I, I-I) are generated by authorization means (AM) and are sent to a decentralized authorized read and write station (A-WR) over a network (N) in a secure communication and with security rules in correspondence with the authorization system (A), where the mobile data carriers (IM) are initialized with the initialization data (DI), and/or wherein the initialization data are sent to a decentralized read and write station (WR) over the network, by means of which the read and write station is initialized. This initialization method enables new possibilities for the application and exploitation of systems of this kind.

  • Patent number: 7172128
Abstract: For operation of contact-less identification media in a system with contact applications for contact cards, an initialized converter module is connected in series as a read/write station. This converter module, on the one hand, executes a contact-less communication with initialized contact-less identification media and, on the other hand, a contact communication at a contact card interface to a host computer or to an application computer for the communication with a contact application of the system and the converter module translates the contact-less communication with respect to communication rules and information into a contact communication with contact information and vice versa and the initialization of the converter module is defined in a hierarchic authorization system. This makes possible a particularly simple and efficient introduction of contact-less identification media into existing contact card systems and—installations.
