  • Patent number: 7480553
Abstract: A system and method are provided for controlling or automatically controlling the driving dynamics of a two-track, two-axle motor vehicle having only one driven axle, which, for the rolling moment support, has a system for changing the distribution of the wheel contact forces to the left and right wheel respectively of each axle. The fractions of the rolling moment support taken over by the front axle and by the rear axle are changeable as a function of the drive torque provided by the drive assembly of the motor vehicle. For this purpose, a desired wheel contact force for the driven wheels can be determined from the drive torque, and by way of this desired wheel contact force, the distribution of the rolling torque support can be determined.

  • Patent number: 7472003
Abstract: An operating method for a single-axle roll stabilization system between the chassis and the body of a two-axle, double-track vehicle is provided, whereby energy for supporting a roll torque of the body may be introduced into the chassis via a controllable actuator, and the introduced stabilizing torque is represented as the product of a rigidity parameter and the roll angle or an alternative roll angle which corresponds to the roll angle with sufficient accuracy and is derived from a measurable variable, the rigidity parameter being freely selectable or adaptable in driving mode, depending on the travel speed of the vehicle. When the actuator is provided on the rear axle of the vehicle, the rigidity parameter, starting from a higher value, drops to lower values in a substantially monotonic manner with increasing travel speed, whereas the opposite applies for a front axle actuator.

  • Publication number: 20080160599
Abstract: A unit for processing microbiological samples has a conveyor for transporting samples, for example in microtitre plates. At a processing station, samples for processing are transferred in their sample containers from the transport device to a processing device, which can have several processing areas, of which only one is ever in a processing position. A manipulating device is associated with the processing position. A magazine dispenses sample containers for processing. An incubator accumulates and discharges sample containers using transport and storage arrangements with coupleable conveyors on multiple levels.

  • Publication number: 20070093026
Abstract: A thin layer of single-crystal silicon is produced by forming first trenches in a silicon substrate having (111) orientation; forming narrower second trenches at the base of the trenches; anisotropically etching lateral channels (4) from the second trenches, until adjacent etch fonts (16) substantially meet; and detaching said layer from the substrate. The trenches may be arranged so that the resultant layer has rows of slots, with the slots in adjacent rows being mutually offset. Solar cells may be formed on strips having two electrical contacts on the same face (6) of each strip (5).
