Abstract: A compacting mechanism for fitting a surface over a refuse container comprising a support member (10) for fitting to the surface, the support member having an aperture (16) which in use is in register with an aperture in the surface. A compacting plate (12) is mounted under the support member, and is coupled to an actuator rod (14) through the aperture in the support member such that the rod may be manoeuvred from a storage position wherein the rod lies along the support member across the surface and the plate is drawn up under the surface to an operative position wherein the rod stands upright over the aperture in the support and may be pushed downwardly through the registering apertures to push the plate down into the container.

Abstract: A plant watering device for use in a growing medium, which comprises a base with an open top liquid receiving section with a discharge inlet aperture located therein. A medium engaging section is connected to the base and has a discharge outlet aperture communicating with the inlet aperture. A contamination prevention member for preventing contamination of the dispensing aperture is located adjacent thereto. A container with a discharge spout has an amount of a liquid contained therein and is filled on the base. The discharge spout is positioned into the liquid receiving section. A wick component is mounted in the liquid receiving section to receive the liquid from the container and extends between the inlet aperture and the outlet aperture to automatically deliver the liquid to the outlet aperture and into the growth medium at a controlled rate.

Abstract: The present invention relates a garment hanger adapted to receive a removable information tab. Such a garment hanger has a body, a hook member connected to the body, a tab holder operatively connected to said hanger. The tab holder has two opposites surfaces, each of said opposite surfaces have an edge, and first, second and third engagement elements. The engagement elements are parallel to one another and are disposed perpendicular to the edge. Furthermore, each of the engagement elements have first, second and third projecting members. The first projecting member is adjacent to the edge of the opposite surface. Each of the engagement elements further have a first valley defined between the first and second projecting elements, and a second valley defined between the second and third projecting element.

Abstract: A plant watering device for use in a growing medium comprises: a base with an open top liquid receiving section and a discharge inlet aperture located therein. A medium engaging section is connected to the base and has a discharge outlet aperture in communication with the discharge inlet aperture. A container with a discharge spout has an amount of a liquid contained therein and fittingly mounts on the base to position the spout into the liquid receiving section. A wick component is mounted in the liquid receiver section to receive the liquid from the container and extends between the discharge inlet aperture and the discharge outlet aperture to automatically deliver the liquid to the discharge outlet aperture and into the growth medium at a controlled rate.

Abstract: The present invention relates a garment hanger adapted to receive a removable information tab. Such a garment hanger has a body, a hook member connected to the body, a tab holder operatively connected to said hanger. The tab holder has two opposites surfaces, each of said opposite surfaces have an edge, and first, second and third engagement elements. The engagement elements are parallel to one another and are disposed perpendicular to the edge. Furthermore, each of the engagement elements have first, second and third projecting members. The first projecting member is adjacent to the edge of the opposite surface. Each of the engagement elements further have a first valley defined between the first and second projecting elements, and a second valley defined between the second and third projecting element.

Abstract: A universal information tab for a garment hanger. The universal information tab having a U-shaped bracket. The U-shaped bracket having two legs extending substantially parallel to each other. The two legs are connected to a bridge. The U-shaped bracket defining an inner surface. The inner surface having an integrally formed flange projecting perpendicularly inwardly from the inner surface and an integrally formed gripper at a second end of each leg for preventing the information tab from slipping off the hanger.

Abstract: An apparatus that is convertible between walker and a wheelchair has one pair of wheels that are continually engaged with the ground and a second pair of wheels that are movable from a first position out of engagement or disengaged with the ground, in which the apparatus is used as a walker, to a second position into engagement with the ground, in which the apparatus is used as a wheelchair. The movable wheels are controllable by the operator through the use of handle members connected such wheels. The handle members rotate the wheels into and out of engagement with the ground along a path that is at an angle from the vertical, thereby assuring disengagement of the wheels from the ground.

Abstract: An adjustable box formed from a blank is disclosed. The box has two rectangular sides; a front panel and a back panel. The front panel and back panel each have two pairs of vertical fold lines on one side thereof, the front pair of vertical fold lines being on the opposite side from the back pair of vertical fold lines. Cooperating flaps including a tongue and groove arrangement are provided to close the box at the top and an automatic setup construction is provided to close the box at the bottom. As a result, the box can be folded along an inner fold line of the front and rear pair of vertical fold lines so that the bottom of the box has a first width. Alternatively, the box can be folded along an outer fold line of the front and rear pair of vertical fold lines so that the bottom of the box has a second width which is smaller than said first width.
