  • Publication number: 20060020373
Abstract: A server stores facility information about a plurality of facilities to be searched for, in association with categories representing the facilities, and performs a search to determine whether or not each category contains any facility located within a predetermined area including the search point. A navigation system displays, based on search results from the server, the categories serving as search conditions in a manner such that whether or not there is any facility within each category is identifiable. For example, an image representing a category may be set not to be displayed when there is no facility within the category. Thus, based on the display status of each category, the user can identify whether or not there is any facility within each category at the time when categories to be searched are displayed.

  • Publication number: 20050274421
Abstract: A housing of a multi-path joint is divided into a plurality of blocks in correspondence with the number of lead-in ports, and a reverse-stop valve for preventing mixed fluid in the main path from flowing backward is provided between the lead-in ports and the main path. Each of the plurality of blocks formed by dividing the housing is provided with a connecting section for positioning when joining to adjacent blocks, and a holding unit is provided for connecting all the blocks in their respective connecting sections and maintaining a connected state between them. According to this multi-path joint, mixed fluid which flowing along the main path, does not flow backward to lead-in ports, and therefore, the atmosphere in the lead-in ports is stabilized. In addition, the multi-path joint is highly functional, being speedily adaptable to the number and shape of the paths on the lead-in port side.

  • Publication number: 20050264859
Abstract: A decoder is provided which, in parallel with decoding into TOC information from sub-Q data read out from the lead-in area of an optical disk, decodes into TEXT information from sub-R-W data read out and determines whether the TEXT information is present based on the sub-R-W data. The decoder, while decoding into plural packs of TEXT information, performs error detection on the decoded-into TEXT information based on error detection codes included in the respective packs, and sends to a microcomputer, if a result of the error detection is normal, a first data set consisting of corresponding decoded-into header information and TEXT content and, if a result of the error detection is not normal, a second data set which is of the same data size as the first data set and which is an indication code indicating that the result of the error detection is not normal.

  • Patent number: 6965723
Abstract: A non-linear video edit system has first, second and third play modes which are selectable at time of playing a video for an edit. In the first play mode (EP TRIM), it plays a first cut scene (scene A) before an edit point and plays a second cut scene (scene B) after the edit point according to a play list. In the second play mode (PREV TRIM), it successively plays the first cut scene (scene A) before and after the edit point. In the third play mode (NEXT TRIM), it successively plays the second cut scene (scene B) before and after the edit point. These play modes allows to change the play speed in an arbitrary direction by a dial, and to switch the play mode with one touch of the corresponding three buttons with aligning current positions.

  • Publication number: 20050003844
Abstract: When a network is formed among vehicles with the use of inter-vehicle communication units, a network-forming-request-source vehicle sends its position serving as a reference position, its moving direction, and requested information to surrounding vehicles by the use of a free ID. Among the surrounding vehicles, vehicles which are to subscribe to the network receive the position, the moving direction, and the requested information, determine where the vehicles are positioned among positions specified in advance relative to the reference position, and respond at a timing corresponding to their positions by the use of free IDs. The network-forming-request-source vehicle receives the responses, stops receiving responses when the number of responded vehicles reaches an appropriate number of vehicles, and sends its genuine ID and a vehicle communication order.
