  • Patent number: 7272357
Abstract: When a network is formed among vehicles with the use of inter-vehicle communication units, a network-forming-request-source vehicle sends its position serving as a reference position, its moving direction, and requested information to surrounding vehicles by the use of a free ID. Among the surrounding vehicles, vehicles which are to subscribe to the network receive the position, the moving direction, and the requested information, determine where the vehicles are positioned among positions specified in advance relative to the reference position, and respond at a timing corresponding to their positions by the use of free IDs. The network-forming-request-source vehicle receives the responses, stops receiving responses when the number of responded vehicles reaches an appropriate number of vehicles, and sends its genuine ID and a vehicle communication order.

  • Publication number: 20070206835
Abstract: The invention provides a display method of processing images photographed by plural cameras and an apparatus for the same, which synthesizes the images by plural cameras mounted on a vehicle for photographing the surroundings thereof and makes it possible to display an easily viewable three-dimensional object near the vehicle, as if one camera were positioned above the vehicle. An image capture unit captures images photographed by plural cameras that photograph the surroundings of a vehicle. An upper observation point image processing unit synthesizes the captured images into an image viewed as from above the vehicle. An image intensity/chrominance determination unit detects an area wherein the displayed image varies from other areas in the synthesized image based on the intensity/chrominance thereof. When the intensity or the chrominance of the area is continuously varying, a three-dimensional object detection unit determines the detected area as a three-dimensional object.

  • Patent number: 7205030
Abstract: After applying a film-forming composition containing a polysiloxane, a pore-forming agent, an onium salt, and a solvent onto a semiconductor substrate, the solvent is evaporated from the film-forming composition in a first heat treatment. Then, a second heat treatment is carried out in an inert-gas atmosphere to promote the polymerization of the polysiloxane and thus form a polysiloxane resin film. Thereafter, a third heat treatment is carried out in an oxidizing-gas ambient to form pores in the polysiloxane resin film.

  • Patent number: 7198063
Abstract: A housing of a multi-path joint is divided into a plurality of blocks in correspondence with the number of lead-in ports, and a reverse-stop valve for preventing mixed fluid in the main path from flowing backward is provided between the lead-in ports and the main path. Each of the plurality of blocks formed by dividing the housing is provided with a connecting section for positioning when joining to adjacent blocks, and a holding unit is provided for connecting all the blocks in their respective connecting sections and maintaining a connected state between them. According to this multi-path joint, mixed fluid which flowing along the main path, does not flow backward to lead-in ports, and therefore, the atmosphere in the lead-in ports is stabilized. In addition, the multi-path joint is highly functional, being speedily adaptable to the number and shape of the paths on the lead-in port side.

  • Patent number: 7167254
Abstract: This invention has as its object to provide an image scanning system which has both a printer function and image scanning function but allows simple operation for scanning an image. In order to achieve this object, a system has a print device with a scanner function, which allows printing and scanning by selectively mounting a print head and scan head on a head mounting portion, and a host computer which is connected to the print device to be able to communicate with it, and includes a scanner driver which can control scanning of the print device. When the scan head is mounted on the head mounting portion in a state an original to be scanned is prepared on the print device, the print device communicates with the host computer to start the scanner driver and to read an image of the original into the scanner driver.

  • Publication number: 20070011679
Abstract: When a communication link is disconnected during a printing operation of a print job due to deteriorated radio wave conditions, a printer can prevent and/or reduce incorrect print or other malfunction occurring in response to a print control command included in the print job. Furthermore, in a state monitor function of a peripheral apparatus, when establishment or disconnection of the communication link is unclear due to deteriorated radio wave conditions, the monitor does not fall into an uncontrollable state. A port monitor (PM), controlling a communication interface, confirms a state of the communication interface. A language monitor (LM), controlling a peripheral apparatus, confirms a state of the communication interface. Communications with the peripheral apparatus can be performed based on a state confirmation result of the LM. Furthermore, a transmission buffer is cleared in response to disconnection of the communications.

  • Publication number: 20060183539
Abstract: In a game machine circuit board case inspection method, the inspection of a circuit board case 39 storing a control circuit board 38 having a predetermined electronic part 47 mounted thereon is performed through a seal confirming step 15 for confirming whether or not the circuit board case 39 has been sealed by sealing means 49 and 50, and an intrinsic identification information reading step 18 for reading the intrinsic identification information 48 on said electronic part 47 stored in the circuit board case 39 after the seal confirming step 15. Thereby, the reading of the intrinsic identification information affixed to the electronic part on the control circuit board in the circuit board case, and the confirmation of the sealed state of the circuit board case can be reliably effected, thus preventing dishonest acts, such as replacing the electronic part by a new one in the inspection step and allowing the new one to read a dishonest intrinsic identification information.

  • Patent number: 7084999
Abstract: Even in case of using a hand-held personal computer, operability regarding a printing operation is improved and a print can be normally completed without allowing the print to be finished as an error. When a sufficient available area exists in an RAM 11 of a hand-held personal computer 1, image data sent from an application is converted into print data and, thereafter, the print data is temporarily stored as a spool file into the RAM 11. At the point when the whole print data is stored and the spool file is completed, a printing process in the application is released and the print data in the spool file is sent to a printer 5 by a background. If the sufficient available area does not exist in the RAM 11 of the hand-held PC 1, the whole print data is not temporarily stored as a spool file but the raster unit image data sent from the application is converted into the print data. The print data is sequentially sent to the printer 5 by the foreground and the printing process is executed.
