  • Publication number: 20060053472
Abstract: A signal from a tuner 22a is outputted to a primary display 2. An analog signal from a tuner 22b is digitally compressed, subjected to an encrypting process, transmitted to a secondary display 3 by a wireless LAN, and displayed by an LCD 46 of the secondary display 3. An output of a digital tuner 23 is displayed by the primary display 2. A video signal of 480I is transmitted to the secondary display 3. A signal inputted through the Internet is decoded and sent to the primary display 2. • Publication number: 20050229603
Abstract: A steam turbine plant partially utilizes a hydrocarbon fuel such as an LNG as a fuel to improve the efficiency of the plant. A steam turbine plant includes a boiler, a steam turbine, a feedwater system, and a superheating combustor. The boiler generates steam, and the steam turbine is driven by the steam generated in the boiler. The feedwater system recovers the steam exhausted from the steam turbine and supplies the steam to the boiler as a feedwater. The superheating combustor is provided between the boiler and the steam turbine, wherein fuel originated from hydrocarbon fuel and oxidizer are mixed with the steam generated in the boiler and combusted in the superheating combustor to increase the temperature of the steam.

  • Publication number: 20050200611
Abstract: A touch panel 47 is constructed by a display/sensor unit 51a which is slightly larger than a display screen of an LCD 46 and a sensor unit 51b which is projected to the outside from one side, for example, from one side on the right. A finger 52 of the user is touched to a selection item such as desired button, icon, or the like on the display/sensor unit 51a and vertically moved on the sensor unit 51b. A selection display 53 constructed by a plurality of buttons is displayed along the side of the right side of the display screen by the LCD 46. A button beside the finger 52 is highlighted and when the finger 52 is released, the highlighted button is selected. If there are no buttons adjacent to the finger 52, the button is not highlighted. Even if the finger 52 is released, the state is not changed. When finger 52 is moved to the display/sensor unit 51a, the selection display 53 disappears.

  • Patent number: 6786089
Abstract: An airflow meter has a member that defines a bypass passage. The bypass passage has a sensing passage in which a sensor tip is disposed. The sensing passage is restricted in at least a lateral direction that is a direction perpendicular to both a longitudinal direction of the sensing passage and a perpendicular direction perpendicular to the surface of the sensor tip. This arrangement defines relatively wider distance in the perpendicular direction on the sensor tip.

  • Patent number: 6595695
Abstract: A seal plate 8 is located between the outer ring 1 and inner ring 3, and the outer diameter 11 side of the this seal plate 8 is fastened to the stationary ring 1, and the lip 13 an the inner-diameter 12 side comes into sliding contact with or keeps a clearance with respect to the inner ring 3 to secure seal performance, and there is a protruding section 19 formed on the side surface 18 on the outside of the seal plate 8, so that a clearance 29 is formed between the protruding section 19 and the peripheral part 25 near the bearing. Consequently, it is possible to provide a sealed-type rolling bearing where the seal performance is improved without increasing cost, by providing not only sealing in the lip portion but also sealing between the bearing and the peripheral part near the bearing.

  • Patent number: 6266481
Abstract: A technique for selectively inhibiting a video recorder from recording and/or reproducing those television programs, which are not authorized for viewing. Authorization data associated with respective television programs that are receivable by the recorder and indication of whether that program is authorized for recording and/or reproduction, is received by the recorder prior to (or multiplexed with) the television program and is stored thereat. When the television program is received, the stored authorization data associated with that is read to determine if the received television program is authorized for recording and/or reproduction. If not, the recorder is inhibited from recording and/or reproducing that unauthorized television program.

  • Patent number: 6081263
Abstract: A method and apparatus for creating user configurable interactive display, wherein a control area is invoked in order to display representations of at least one operating environment. The operating environment contains user interactive components corresponding to information resources which may be selected for use by the user. A scratch pad is invoked onto the display allowing a user to select components from the operating environment to be placed onto the scratch pad. Once the interactive components from one or more operating environments are placed onto the scratch pad, a user interactive display area is generated comprising a display of user selected components.
